We were lucky to catch up with Shamya Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Shamya, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
XquisiteIce Avenue is a brand that I created at the age of seventeen. Our mission is to bring elegance and elevation into your presence no matter the occasion leaving you feeling exquisite. Growing up, my mother loved accessorizing, and in turn, I ended up loving to dress up only to top it off with beautiful jewelry pieces. I didn’t always have a reason to wear exquisite jewelry so I cherished the times that I did. Fast forwarding to the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey I thought, why not create a brand that allows all women, whether working towards their degree or well established, to find their jewelry desires?

Shamya, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Shamya Jones, and I am the founder of XquisiteIce Avenue. Our mission is to bring elegance and elevation into your presence to make you look and feel exquisite. I began my business as a side hustle towards the end of 2020, and we have since grown from selling mink lashes and accessories to selling high-quality jewelry for any occasion. XquisiteIce Avenue is where you can be yourself and inspire others to step into their exquisite nature.
However, our story is just beginning. Currently, we are redesigning our platform and transitioning to newer, higher-quality products that are unique and fitting to all. I am proud to announce that we will be relaunching on February 10, 2023! Everyone is still welcome to shop on our site, as we are still accepting orders.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
So far, I have learned that you obtain loyalty through connection. Therefore, the most effective way to grow is to create a community. Our customers are more than that they are the reason why we can continue to bring our products to the market.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson that I had to unlearn was how much I should be posting on social media. At the beginning of my journey, I had a fear of lack of support. I didn’t want to “post too much” or share my content too much. I thought if I posted only two through three times a week consistently, it would be enough. However, I quickly learned that it doesn’t matter how many times you share on your social media because you never know who you’ll reach or how many people.
