We were lucky to catch up with Shalltisha Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Shalltisha, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first knew I would pursue in being an all over creative when I was in 5th grade drawing my classmates names in designs I thought of them of for 50 cents. After that I was on a roll, I taught myself how to draw more realistic, my inspirations lead me more and I started to learn and feel my own own creative groove and ways of painting and drawing. Being in my own groove of creating I learn Make-Up Art, graphic designing, clothing designing, seamstress work, embroidery, and all over visual creations. Learning and understanding these creatives opens my mind to many more ways of Painting in the future for myself. Body Art & Fluid Art Painting became another way of not just me painting but expressing myself more thru my art with Colour and Understanding My Canvas.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My Freedom and gratitude is the most rewarding aspect of being a artist and creative. With my freedom within will shine thru me, and show thru all of my creative work. Everyone then can see the true me unapologetically Me, Art.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I recommend to all of the Black African wombmen out there to read “Sacred Woman” By Queen Afua. This is a book of knowledge for all women to know and help of one health, mental & spirit. The Author Queen Afua is the Founder and Director of the Heal Thyself Center and a Holistic Health Consultant, Colon Therapist, Polarity Practitioner, and Lay Midwife. And most importantly a Minister of Purification and a Nubian Khamitic Priestess of the Temple Nebthet. Once you have received this book you are preparing to enter the gates of A Sacred Wombman Training. This book has taught me a lot about the Nubian Khamitic Philosophy & so much more…
