Empowering the World Through My Struggles: My Mission as a Motivational Speaker and Business Coach

My purpose is to inspire others through my experiences. I’ve faced numerous challenges- from suicidal thoughts and depression to a brain tumor. Starting from a young age, I’ve been a mother and a high school dropout, and I’ve experienced homelessness and hunger. However, through it all, I persevered with the help of my faith in God. Each obstacle I faced has shaped me into the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for God’s protection and blessings. My goal is to pay it forward by empowering others to overcome their own struggles and achieve their dreams.

Shalakemia Moffit, a native of Pennsylvania, is a passionate professional who empowers individuals to reach their highest potential. She began her career as a Business Coach, accruing over a decade of experience before venturing into motivational speaking. Shalakemia’s ultimate goal is to assist people become better versions of themselves in both their personal and professional lives. Her live videos, which she started creating in 2011, quickly went viral, inspiring millions.

In 2020, Shalakemia launched her own Academy, Grindin Royal Academy, to offer a variety of digital products and personal coaching services to assist entrepreneurs in achieving success. Her services provide individuals with the necessary coaching and guidance to succeed. What sets her apart from others is her personal approach with clients and her commitment to monitoring their progress and ensuring they stay on track with their goals.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I constructed my social media audience by remaining true to myself and sharing my personal testimony. The initial testimony I disclosed was about my teenage suicide attempt. With God’s blessing, I mustered the courage to go live on Facebook and share my heartfelt experience. I openly discussed my thoughts of suicide, the medications I ingested, and my weeks spent in the psychiatric ward, ultimately expressing how God pulled me out of that dark period. This candid video rapidly went viral, raising awareness about mental health issues. Ever since that day, I have continued to take leaps of faith, going live and embracing my truth and purpose wholeheartedly.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I attribute my strong reputation to my passion and reliability, as well as my raw and authentic approach. I firmly believe that people need genuine and relatable guidance, rather than sugarcoated advice.
