We were lucky to catch up with Shakir Dzheyranov recently and have shared our conversation below.
Shakir, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Hello Robo came out of a conversation about how most tech and robotics companies sound cold or overly technical. We thought—what if a robot introduced itself to you? That simple phrase, Hello Robo, felt human. It hints at where the world is going, but stays warm and approachable. It stuck. And it reminds us every day: great tech still needs to feel human. And on personal side, I looooooove robots.

Shakir, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Shak. I run Hello Robo, a design agency for complex tech and robotics companies. We help our clients design digital products that are intuitive, human, and market-ready.
I got into this space because I kept seeing brilliant tech with poor UX. We fix that. We work closely with visionary brands to design smarter MVPs, scalable design systems, and experiences people actually want to use.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Twice a year, we pick a spot somewhere in the world and meet in person. No agenda, just a chance to connect as people. Some of our best ideas—and laughs—have come from those trips. There’s something about sharing a meal or walking through a new city together that re-energizes the whole team.
And during the week, we run what we call “design sessions.” It’s a space where anyone on the design team can bring in work and get hands-on help from others. No egos, just collaboration. Those sessions not only improve the work—they remind everyone we’ve got each other’s backs. That kind of environment is what keeps morale high.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
We stay very close.
– Weekly check-ins, Slack updates, fast turnaround—it’s all part of how we work.
– Every end of month our client success team has a call with every client and asks to rate our work and name 1 thing that we can improve.
– We don’t disappear for weeks and come back with a perfectly polished work. Cause over years, I learned that Clients rather appreciate involved in early stage of design development.
– We are also fun to work with so. That helps as well.
