We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Shadana Miranda . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Shadana below.
Shadana, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about how you got your first non-friend, non-family client. Paint the picture for us so we can feel the same excitement you felt on that day.
Before I decided to become a full-time transformational coach, I felt the urge to start mentoring/coaching a few people for free. I wasn’t sure why, but the spirit was nudging me to do it. I coached two people for free for about 3 months. After three months, I decided that my services were no longer going to be free and that I would start charging. I then communicated that message will my clients. Both of those clients gave me amazing testimonials and referred me to paid clients. From then on my business has been referral-based. I’m beyond blessed.
Shadana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a New Orleans-born girl, making her mark in Houston, and leaving a footprint around the world. I started working as a Transformational Coach to help women live a more purpose-driven life. Several years back I worked with a Transformational Coach when I was at my lowest point in life. The coach helped me to discover my purpose and get my life back on track. Fast forward years later I didn’t think I would be inspiring women to live their true authentic lives but here I am. Fun fact, my background is in Psychology but I ran from that field after college because I didn’t think I was fit to help people discover their purpose in life and find their way. It’s funny how life has a way of bringing things back full circle. I’m very happy with the career I choose. I get to serve women and make a difference.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Putting myself out there and being vulnerable. I go live on social media quite often and create video reels to share my stories and testimonials. Mentally it can be tough getting so personal online, but it makes a world of a difference. My engagement is much higher plus my content and messages give people a sense of belonging. They tell me my stories are relatable and how they don’t feel so alone.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Email marketing is the best form of marketing to stay in contact with my clients and the community of people who follow me. Social media is good, but sending emails guarantees that your audience of people sees your message. Sometimes with the algorithm of social media, my audience doesn’t always see my post. Through emails, I’m able to send sweet and niched messages to my community that makes them feel special and loved. I believe my clients are more loyal to me because of the emails I send to them.
