Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sezen June Sinan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sezen June, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One of my most meaningful projects was the Goddess of Fertility . As I began building this narrative, I felt a deep pull to connect with my Anatolian roots, where, long before the rise of major religions, Mesopotamia celebrated matriarchy and revered motherhood and fertility as the essence of creation. The woman was—and still is—the creator of life. ✨
As a mother and a female artist, this story holds an even deeper significance for me. It’s a celebration of womanhood, of giving life, and the incredible power that comes with it.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Sezen June Sinan, a Fashion Editorial Photographer deeply rooted from Istanbul Turkey, living my life one of the biggest city New York City with a passion for storytelling that blends the ancient with the modern. My work is an exploration of culture, identity, and the feminine spirit—through both visual art and creative direction.
I began my journey in the creative industry with a fascination for the intersection of culture, human nature and visual expression. Growing up in Istanbul, a region rich with history and tradition, I was always inspired by the powerful connection between our ancestors and the earth, as well as the reverence they held for womanhood and fertility. I wanted to tell stories that reflect these deep-rooted beliefs while challenging contemporary perspectives. This led me to pursue a career that would allow me to blend my love for art, culture, and personal identity in meaningful ways.
Over time, I found my creative voice through a combination of digital art, storytelling, and collaborations with other artists who share my vision. My work spans multiple mediums, but I primarily focus on creating immersive visual stories—whether through photography, digital art, or creative direction. I use my craft to tell stories that honor the powerful forces of nature, architecture and design
The products and services I offer vary from visual campaigns, and photography to full-scale creative direction for brands, artists, and individuals. Whether I’m working on a personal project or a brand collaboration, my focus is always on authenticity, depth, and cultural significance. I help clients bring their visions to life by merging narrative, aesthetics, and emotion in ways that resonate on a deeper, almost spiritual level.
I believe creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful; it’s about making something meaningful. My approach to every culture and my deep respect for the feminine experience allow me to offer a unique perspective that combines modern creativity. My projects aren’t just art for art’s sake—they carry a message, a deeper story that connects us and reminds us of the power of life, creation, and the feminine energy that flows through all of us.
One of the projects I’m most proud of is my Goddess of Fertility series, which explores themes of womanhood, motherhood, and creation. It’s a deeply personal project, not just because of my own identity as a mother and a woman, but because it pays tribute to the long history of matriarchal societies in Anatolia and Mesopotamia. This project helped me reconnect with my cultural heritage while collaborating with other amazing creatives, resulting in a beautiful narrative about the sacredness of life and creation.
What I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know about me is that I’m not just an artist—I’m a storyteller and a bridge between the past and present. My work is a reflection of who I am and the world I want to see. I’m deeply committed to creating art that speaks to both the individual and the collective, celebrating the feminine, the sacred, and the timeless.
If you’re looking for work that goes beyond aesthetics and dives into the heart of storytelling, culture, and personal identity, then I would love to collaborate. My mission is to create art that doesn’t just look good, but feels good and leaves a lasting impact.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I had known earlier that being an artist is deeply tied to having full trust in yourself. The process of creation isn’t about perfection or universal approval—it’s about being authentic to your own voice. Art is inherently subjective, and not everyone will connect with it. That’s the beauty of it. Your work is a reflection of your journey, and it’s meant to resonate with those who are ready to hear it.
The doubt is natural, but it’s part of the growth. It’s in those moments of uncertainty that the most profound breakthroughs happen. So, rather than letting doubt stop you, use it as fuel to keep going. Keep creating, keep evolving. Your audience is out there, and they will find you when you remain true to your craft. Trust yourself, trust the process, and never stop making art.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I know the sacrifices many female artists make between balancing family and their creative passions. We often give so much of ourselves to others that we lose sight of our own artistic needs and dreams. But I wish I had known sooner that our art, our voices, our stories matter—no matter how much we juggle in our lives. The struggle is real, but it doesn’t define us; what defines us is our ability to keep creating, to keep pushing, even when the world doesn’t always make space for us.
As artists, we must trust ourselves and honor the work we’re doing, no matter how small or uncertain it may seem at times. I want to remind you that the world needs your voice, your vision, and your art. Never let doubt stand in your way. Keep creating, keep evolving, and know that your work will find its audience.
In my own mission, I want to not only support female artists, but also elevate the world of sustainable fashion. Fashion has the power to influence so much—our values, our choices, and our society. By embracing sustainability, we can shift how we create, consume, and appreciate fashion. This movement is bigger than just trends; it’s about making a lasting, positive impact on the world.
Through my visuals, I aim to amplify the voices of musicians, designers, and all artists who deserve the spotlight. They have the potential to change culture, to inspire and to lead. By supporting each other, by continuing to create despite the obstacles, we can influence society and create a world that values both art and responsibility.
Keep believing in yourself, keep fighting for your vision, and let’s work together to change the narrative—one piece of art at a time.
