We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Seth Menne. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Seth below.
Seth, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
At the age of 27 I couldn’t believe I had just landed my dream job. My family was astatic it was a massive accomplishment. After 8 years working in the field as an electrician starting as apprentice, moving to a journeymen, then to a Forman running Large projects and now being promoted to project manager? It felt like such a Blessing from the Lord. Little did I know he was giving me this position so that I could learn the skills to be project manger and then He was going to ask me to give it all up.
In October 2024 I put in my 2 weeks at my 100k per year Job and started life on the road in a converted school bus full time. This life style has taught me a lot. leaning into entrepreneurship, starting / running multiple business with different goals and at different stages definitely has its challenges, but it has been such blessing. The freedom I now have to spend quality time with my family and also pursue projects I’m passionate about has my eyes set on the future and never going back.
Currently im in the process of starting an Air BnB campground resort while also pursuing a career as a full time musician. God has been a massive part of our decision to jump in head first to take on these massive tasks but through prayer and faith we are obediently taking one step after the other.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My wife and I currently live in a converted school bus traveling the country about 6 months out of the year. I myself (Seth Menne) am a full time musician where my heart is to encourage the Church to continue to talk to God through every season with my current Album Called Rebuild.
My wife (Madison Menne) has started a company called Tide and True where Her heart is to pull peoples attention to Gods creation via landscape and wildlife photography. The word Tide represents creation and the majesty through which God created. It all points back to him. The word True represents the truth of the gospel and the undeniable words that Jesus spoke and how those two ideas coincide.
Lastly while we are on the road our heart is to help people in need as we travel through out the country using the gifts God gave us to bring interest back to the kingdom of heaven.
We are also in process of building a Glamping campground just outside of Branson MO. partnering with a couple from the band Arbour Season (Shane and Emily) our heart of this campground is to create an self funded oasis where we can host festivals and events to foster relationships and further Gods purpose and mission. We will also run property management from the road as we travel.
At the center of all of this my goal is to bring people together. To let people know they are not alone in their struggle or their Joy. Whether we are curating a space for people to connect or connecting with people on personal level through the purpose and mission God has given us , undoubtably our goal is to connect with people and show them the love of Christ.
I have just released a Song called Humble. There is a line at the end of the songs that says “Theres no time waste, Nothing to gain by sitting in your doubt, soaking up breath living in stress while HE has it figured out” we toil and we groan but at the end of the day we are all in the palm of God’s Hand. My prayer is that we can learn to submit to the things he’s leading us to. His plans are always better than anything we can come up with on our own.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I would say the most rewarding part of my creative journey is the freedom it has allowed my wife and I to have. The journey of being nomadic & on the road while meeting this unique community has been really rewarding. When we packed up everything we owned and fit it into a 200 sqf space and got rid of the rest, we were really able to maintenance our creativity and relationship’s rather than maintaining stuff…I have found that healthy relationships and the experiences that come along with that really open a lot of creativity in my writing.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I have recently finished a book called “the Ruthless Elimination of Hurry” which may be controversial to entrepreneurs mind set. However I think one of the most important things that have kept my work day the most productive is partaking in a true Sabbath. No matter the pressures of the week I know I can count on true rest when Tuesdays roll around. Time with the Lord, A nice meal with my wife and NO devices pounding on the door stealing my attention. This has been critical for my mental health and productivity.
