We recently connected with Seth Melrose and have shared our conversation below.
Seth, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I first knew I wanted to be an artist when I was freestyling with one of my friends over a call. We were freestyling and making sounds for hours and I never knew the time was passing by and I was having a lot of fun doing it and I ended up doing it in my free time more than anything and it put a smile on my face every time I had a good flow or beat going on.
Seth, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I really decided to get into music when I heard the ASTROWORLD album for the first time I remember how it made me feel I wanted to be able to recreate that same feeling and more. Making music and sounds takes some discipline and time to really get the things you want and its not for everybody I can see why people would give up after a couple of their songs not sounding the way they would like it to. I see a vision in everything I do though and I always accomplish the goals i set in my and head and write down. I also get a joyous feeling whenever people send me videos of them singing my songs lyric by lyric it makes me feel like I am heard and that’s something i struggled with growing up. I wasn’t the most vocal so for me to be able to make music it’s a blessing
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Helping people and leaving them inspired, for me its the best feeling when people even give my song a listen and then come back with feedback I feel like it benefits us both when I can hear what the people like to hear from my sound.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I had to pivot away from the typical “I want to be a doctor” life because that wasn’t really what I wanted to do. I was just saying that for the money but I had to think about the rest of my life and what i would actually enjoy doing with my life
