We recently connected with Seth Collier and have shared our conversation below.
Seth, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Every project I do has its own special, unique place. Anytime I get to choreograph and perform together is super special and enriches the process. I also love when I get to reconnect with creatives I’ve already worked with and we get to expand on our ideas further.
Seth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Seth is an Australian dancer/actor who grew up on a farm in rural Queensland. From a young age he has worked in the industry of live performance & film. He also has a passion for creating his own dance art. It was apparent very early on that he had a fiery passion for entertaining. Even after working with some of the best from all corners of the globe, with an exciting LA dance job on the horizon, he doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission has always been to leave my hometown to do my job bigger and better. And now that dream is coming to fruition with my job offer expanding dynamite studios brand by teaching hip hop/commercial jazz masterclass at Gravity space dance studio in Hollywood, LA. As well as signing my 3 year contract as a dancer for MSA agency. I’m super excited to be working with these company’s!
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
For me, the book ‘big magic’ by Elizabeth Gilbert really helped my creative process and what I want my art to look like. It also inspired me to be my own creative and that I should take risks!
