We were lucky to catch up with Sergio Lopez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sergio , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In order to be successful in your daily life as well as in starting your business, you first need to believe in yourself, that is the fundamental key but not the only one, there are many other factors that will make you a better version. The constant feedback of new methodologies and studies facilitates the entrance to the peak of success, surrounding yourself with friends who have the same objectives as you, taking risks and giving the maximum in each of the projects, perseverance and discipline is the second The most important factor, despite the fact that the market and the industry are very competitive, these last two factors will make a big difference among all the colleagues in the market.
Sergio , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
CREATION III is an architecture firm founded by Sergio Lopez, with a team of designers, interior designers, construction supervisors. We focus on bringing dreams come true by turning them into real life Creations. We`ve worked with entrepreneurs, investors, contractors, and entire families who wish to design their entire home, build new spaces, build business, remodel small spaces, residential housing, landscapes projects and the list goes on.
One of our specialties is creating 3D architectural visualizations, virtual videos and our specialized drone team called 9K STUDIO by Mario Suarez, is in charge of recording high quality videos of the real life construction progress, of all of our projects, from the heights.
Gabriel Alejos is in charge of the renders and the best creator of virtual 3D videos.
Our areas of work are San Diego and Tijuana, Baja California.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Of course I can tell you., the road has been a complete rollercoaster. I grew up in Tijuana BC, Mexico. I visited the US many times but never imagined I would be blooming in this country after moving here with my wife. Again a very complicated path, a new country where I was not very familiar, a new language that was not my first language. Communication at the beginning was complicated and unfortunately, people took advantage of that. I`ve experienced clients who never finished paying for my work because of the language barrier and who criticized me for not knowing the laws and regulations within the construction system of California.
I started from the bottom, many weekends I worked in construction sites, as a construction worker, to better understand the construction system of California. Thankfully those many weekends paid off and now, this is our specialty.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The best way to grow your business and clientele is not only through social networks, of course it drives to make it known, but it is not everything, the most important thing is to give your maximum in each project, in how to solve each one of the Topics that they need you to give them, give the best of your work and they will take care of spreading the word and giving you as a recommendation to other clients, friends and family who need your service.
