Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sergio Garcia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Sergio, appreciate you joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?

I manage my own social media. I grew up in an era where social media exploded and was able to get familiar with most of the platforms. Instagram/TikTok & Facebook are three social media platforms where we get a lot of our business, and being comfortable in using them all has made interaction with clients and future clients easier.
Results have been great so far. We get inquiries almost everyday from potential clients but it could always be better! Our goal is to increase prices because our quality of service speaks for itself. That will allow us to open up a budget for a social media team.
For now, I am ok with running it just to save cost.
The biggest lesson I’m learning from this is learning how to edit videos and master public speaking. This has helped me interact more comfortable with friends, family and clients.
Social media has been a big part of our growth and plan to use it to our advantage as much as possible.
As a business owner, I learned that a lot of responsibility falls in my hands. The goal to growth is to hire a team and have as many people budget allows to help expand your company.
You can’t always do everything yourself !

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. I grew up always fascinated with cars but not necessarily cleaning them. I was introduced into the auto detailing industry from a friend that showed the potential of making money from it. I knew I always wanted to be an entrepreneur since shadowing my father and his business at a young age. It gave me valuable lessons on running my own.
I have studied and watched many videos through YouTube as well that helped me master my craft and learning that using high quality chemicals and supplies leads to higher end clients.

We want our following and potential clients to know that we don’t cut corners. We aim to provide the highest quality detail possible. Using quality and reputable detailing products that are safe on any vehicle. Our favorite company Shine Supply, provides us with the best detailing supplies for interior and exterior vehicles and that helps set us apart from most companies.

I want people to know that we love detailing vehicles, but our main joy is our client interaction. We care more on building client relationships that’ll last hopefully a lifetime.

Any recent and future success wouldn’t be possible without the support of friends, family and clients. We are most thankful for them.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

At age 22, I decided to sell my entire sneaker collection to buy a van to start mobile detailing with. It was a collection I had saved for 10 years. It was well worth it. It was the main funds to starting the business. I used to detail out of my Honda civic for a few years.
I didn’t have a generator or my own water source starting out.
Mobile detailing to me, is being fully equipped with power and water to service people at any location. Selling those sneakers helped me get the Van, generator and water tank to begin the real journey.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I wouldn’t say my social media following is huge, but bigger than I expected. My first internship in college taught me video editing on Final Cut Studio which is helped raise my quality of videos on TikTok and on Instagram. Having quality content every week has gained attraction for the business in all but positive ways.
During Covid, business took off at its highest once people saw I was still working, posting a ton in my stories.
It’s helped reach thousands of people. Word of mouth is just as important to gaining more clients
