We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Serene Grace. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Serene below.
Hi Serene , thanks for joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
I would say my biggest accomplishment as a business owner was not holding myself back from achieving anything. It was about believing in myself and trusting my potential to help people. I had so much to offer to the world. God was preparing me to transition from one career that no longer served my higher purpose to another one that aligned with my spiritual principles and opportunities for me in March 2020. During the pandemic, I just had to throw in the towel and say to God, “Let’s just do it.”
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Blessings! My name is Shannon Grace, but I prefer to be called Serene Grace (or Lady Grace) in the holistic community. As a Transformation-Intuitive Life Coach, I started “Shining Bright with Serene Grace” as a creative endeavor in 2019. Eventually, in 2020, it turned into a holistic life coaching business where I use my healing modalities as an intuitive empath, spiritual medium, (reiki) energy practitioner, and empowerment life coach to guide people with the resources to improve in areas of love, career, business, spirituality, self-confidence, grieving, and overcoming fears. I also have incorporated hypnosis and therapeutic art within my background, along with becoming a wedding officiant in 2021.
I’m very gifted as an intuitive empath with the ability to use the Clair senses of clairvoyance (clear vision), clairaudience (clear audio), clairsentience (clear feeling/empath), clairscent (clear smelling), and clairtangency (clear touching), and much more. I also have had a strong mediumship background since I was a child. As I started my business journey, I took another leap of faith to cross-market myself as an etiquette expert. During the pandemic, I created an etiquette website called “The Inspiring Peacock Post,” which featured wonderful articles with “Etiquette with Perspective.” With this inspiring idea, I became an editor of my own etiquette website, along with other talented writers joining me in this creative endeavor.
Lastly, in 2022, Voice America-Live Internet Talk Radio approached me to host a podcast/radio show on their Empowerment Channel. The show was titled “Shining Bright with Serene Grace.” The show’s focus is to inspire empowerment and expand your mind, body, and spirit to awaken and transform back into your authentic, higher self. Currently, I am in the middle of producing my show, which is now broadcasting worldwide. Today, I work full-time with people from many walks of life in the US and different countries. So, please connect with me. I am here to inspire mind, body, and spirit. So, let’s sparkle together!
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
You need passion, drive, and resilience. You must never give up your dreams, goals, ideas, or hopes to please those around you. You must love yourself first and have the desire in your life for a better and higher purpose to have profound change. It is about putting your best foot forward and creating a positive ripple effect. Later, people will notice. It just takes time, faith, and patience to see everything manifest before your eyes. Plus, give God a chance to surprise you here and there with unexpected blessings.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Wow. That is an awesome question. One that comes to mind is when I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation in my late twenties. Chiari Malformation (kee-AH-ree mal-for-MAY-shun) is a condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal. It occurs when part of the skull is misshapen or smaller than is typical, pressing on the brain and forcing it downward. Chiari Malformation has different types and varies in symptoms. This condition is not one size fits all. It affects people at different stages in life. Some people can live with it without major issues, but others can suffer from serious symptoms that can be disabling.
My condition was mild until 2009. I had a major gym accident that caused trauma on my brain and spiral cord. Now, that is a long story for another day. In June 2010, my condition exacerbated with more Chiari symptoms that would have been disabling. However, in October 2010, a brilliant neurosurgeon from John Hopkins Hospital did decompressive surgery, along with other procedures on my brain and gave me back my quality of health. I also walk out of the hospital in two days with 80% improvement and the rest was history.
Before and after my brain surgery, I also used holistic modalities (such as Reiki-energy work) to help heal me and recover my health. It was the turning point for me to learn other modalities that would later be used today in my current profession as a Transformation-Intuitive Life Coach. You never know how life gives you detours, but they later become your future lessons to blessings.
