We recently connected with Seeking Solace and have shared our conversation below.
Seeking , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Living in this situational society being the only one who shares your perspective or looks so different is constantly frowned upon. Being who you are requires a pleothora of self study, self awareness and self love. To be able to accept self, most humans have trouble identifying and being able to embrace what that actually means.
In my world as I refer to as my wisdom walk I have experienced many moments where I was the only “me’ in the room. I have a strong presence even when I try to be low key. I tend to not want attention but get it either way whether it’s whispers, curiosity or others appreciating how I embrace being different. Growing up I went to a predominantly white school where nine times out of ten..truly there was only one of me.
Dealing with the pressure of being the only brown person in the room and with my upbringing to many it makes them uncomfortable. Just to make clear I am not ever in a space where I need to threaten anyone or cause a scene to get attention. When I’m out and about many beings either gravitate towards me or go the other way. With that being said while attending school I felt left out or out of place so to speak. Yet I learned how to deal with being an individual in a space where all surroundings were physically opposite of me.
In a nutshell that is what prepared me to be whoever I am set to be whatever that may be. I now strut amongst my wisdom walk as I am confident that being me at all times is a priority and would not have it any other way. At this moment in life I am comfortable and confident that no matter where I sit I always have something to bring to the table at all times. I have developed into a spiritual advisor, motivational speaker and a philanthropist all aspects to make this world a better place so I hope.
Be who you are whatever that means to you. I am a beautiful soul with glistening brown skin that is apart of the rainbow community and I am proud of it. Let’s continue to grow amongst our wisdom walk as every step we take we learn something. My goal is to reach one soul and hope that soul will be you.
Let me leave you with some thoughts:
To enemies you are upfront,
To lovers you are loyal,
To companions you are true,
Are you honest with yourself???
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We offer motivation along what we refer to as our wisdom walk. As human beings every step we take we learn something and our goal each show is to reach one soul. I use my wisdom walk explaining the steps along the way hoping to deter or prepare others for what comes with life decisions that are made. I connect with all walks of life from street to elite to say the least. Solace means comfort in a time of distress and I plan to continue to provide that in all ways, always.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
There are many different books that I have read that have effected my thinking in a positive, motivational and business like way. The first book that comes to mind is “The monk who sold his Ferrari” by Robin Sharma which helped me develop independent thinking and how to map my life and business it in a significant way. The second book I would recommend is “Think and grow rich” by Napoleon Hill high I was lucky enough to purchase it at a local library for .25 cents, yes a quarter. The education in that book is worth more than an infinite amount of money depending on how you use it all business moguls it is a must have. The third would be an audiobook “Outwitting the devil” which he me insight on how the world works and undeniable truths. I hope I didnt scare any one away there but it’s a must read. Last but not least “The subtle art of not giving a f?*k” by Mark Manson truly amazing and unapologetic but gives you some free game regarding how to treat self in all situations. Yes..read it’s imperative that you do!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Most of my followers tend to have the same mindset as me or very close to it. I don have celebrity numbers but my content is quality and all my followers authentic. No yet blue check verified by working towards that no need to rush it. Once it’s blue thats it right? I’ll wait no reason to go crazy over that.
