We were lucky to catch up with Jennifer Onwumere and Mario Ezeh recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jenniger and Mario, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission the drives your brand?
We started Entrepaidneur to create a clothing brand aimed at inspiring startups and up & coming entrepreneurs. Being an entrepreneur is one of the most challenging & rewarding experiences that a person will ever have. We found it necessary to start this clothing brand because being an entrepreneur is often a lonely process.
Our clothing, which we call ” motivational wear” is designed to inspire and motivate entrepreneurs to stay the course and keep working towards their dreams.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
We have worked in the marketing and web design space for over 20 years, and in that time, we have been fortunate to meet a variety of entrepreneurs and start-up business owners from a variety of industries. No matter what industry a business owner works in, every entrepreneur experiences challenges in their business.
It is this reality that served as a key driver for us when starting the clothing line. Currently, we sell t-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs, and other lifestyle products with motivational slogans aimed at inspiring entrepreneurs. The unique element of this brand is the fact that we focus on the niche of creating motivational clothing solely for entrepreneurs and business owners.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
We met literally as babies. Our fathers were very good friends growing up and as we got older we realized we have complementary skills and begin to collaborate on projects together. Jennifer’s background is in Marketing/PR & Events and Mario’s background is in Web Design & Cinematography so there was great synergy for collaboration.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
We launched the line at the end of 2019, and initially, we built our entire strategy around live event activations and vending events. When the pandemic began, we had to pivot our strategy and we started focusing on hosting webinars, podcast and collaborating with other media outlets and entrepreneurs to spread the word about our brand.
The first year of the business was challenging but it gave us a chance to regroup and we are in the process of re-launching the brand on a new level! We are continuing to grow the brand and have now developed an affiliate program and we are actively implementing new strategies to continue to grow the brand, so we are excited about all the opportunities that will present themselves in 2022.
