We were lucky to catch up with Sedrick Montano recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sedrick , thanks for joining us today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?

Being My Own Boss Gives You Freedom To create and push things far as they could go. My whole face is tattooed so getting a regular job was never in the cards for me. I had to pave my own way and be successful on my own. When I was about 24 I had applied for an insurance job , I dressed in buisness attire and the people looked at me like I was a criminal. Being your own boss gives you the freedom to not only judge others but put your self in shoes other people have been , giving people more options and things too look forward to

Sedrick , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My Name Is Sedrick montano , Nick name seddyblasted , seddy is short for Sedrick and blasted stands for heavily tattooed !! My clothing brand and barber name is almost dead , no matter where you are in life we are all one step closer to death Hense the name and creativity . I never think inside the box I always think of way beyond. My clothing brand consists of traditional tattoo drawings that people can relate to , I relate to art. Art is being able to express your self with no wrong doings

How did you build your audience on social media?

Be different and be yourself , whatever that Means to everyone individually. My tattoos are really unique so it puts me away from the crowd instantly I stick out so that draws people in and makes things interesting

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Growing clients on social media is definitely great , I still think handing out buisness cards is great . Word of mouth goes a long way
