Sedric , appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
In March 2023, I, Sedric Louissaint, founded the Cybersecurity Mentorship and Training Program (CMTP) in response to the growing demand for skilled professionals in the cybersecurity field. I recognized the increasing threat of cyber-attacks, the urgent need for well-trained individuals to combat these challenges. I designed the CMTP to provide aspiring cybersecurity professionals with the guidance, skills, and knowledge necessary to succeed in this rapidly evolving and financially rewarding field through personalized mentorship, career planning, hands-on training, and a supportive community.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of clients in various industries, including large corporations, government agencies, critical infrastructure, and non-profit organizations. I have helped these clients to develop and implement effective cybersecurity strategies, as well as providing training and support to their staff.
I am passionate about staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the cybersecurity field. I am constantly researching/testing new technologies and techniques to ensure that my clients are protected from the latest threats. I am well-versed in a variety of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software. I am a subject matter expert in the following areas:

I started my cybersecurity journey as a single father. I was homeless at one point. I had a negative overdrawn account almost every week. I was barely making ends meet, living check to check. Let me tell you about the moment my life changed. The moment I learned and knew I was going to work in cybersecurity for the rest of my life. I was watching TV. As I flickered through all the channels, I fell into this VICE special called “Hacker”. Shoutout to VICE! I thank God every day I was paying attention.
On this show, this is how I learned about the cybersecurity field and the high paying lucrative jobs. The person on the show was telling the Vice reporter a little glimpse into his life. The person explained how they are able to work remotely from anywhere in the world and has the complete freedom to go anywhere at any moment. His job allowed him to make 6 figures a year, declare his own schedule, and the work was interesting. He said he never truly feels like he’s working because he loves his job and found his passion.
I was hooked. I immediately started researching how to work in cybersecurity. I was immediately discouraged due to the vast amount of information that is out there. When I started, I faced every trial and tribulation in the book. I dealt with all the problems of getting into cybersecurity on my own.
Have you ever had to pivot?
Growing up, I was always passionate about martial arts, and I began wrestling in Florida during my teenage years. I eventually transitioned into MMA, with dreams of becoming a world champion. However, life had other plans for me.
When I became a teen father, I realized that I had to make a difficult choice. MMA fighting wasn’t going to provide the financial stability my growing family needed. The risks were high, and the income was low. I knew I couldn’t afford to put all my energy into fighting while trying to support my family. So, I made the tough decision to put my MMA career on hold and find a more sustainable career path.
That’s when I discovered the world of cybersecurity. I got interested in the field after watching a TV show about hacking, and I saw the potential in it. The idea of working in an industry that offered exciting challenges, a stable income, and opportunities for growth was very appealing to me.
As I started studying cybersecurity, I realized that it was a field where I could channel my fighting spirit and discipline into protecting people and organizations from cyber threats. I was determined to succeed, so I pursued degrees and certifications in cybersecurity, gaining valuable knowledge and experience along the way.
Over time, I was able to build a successful career in cybersecurity, working with various clients within large corporations, government agencies, critical infrastructure, and non-profit organizations. This allowed me to provide a better future for my family, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made.
Now that I have a stable career in cybersecurity, I’m also able to get back into MMA, pursuing my original dream of becoming a world champion. I never gave up on my passion, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to balance both my cybersecurity career and my MMA aspirations.
In the end, I believe that my experience in both MMA and cybersecurity has shaped me into a more resilient and adaptable person, and I’m committed to using my knowledge and skills to help others achieve their goals and dreams as well.

To keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty, I follow several strategies:
- Regular communication: I maintain regular contact with clients through emails, phone calls, or even face-to-face meetings, whenever possible. This helps ensure that their needs are being met and allows me to stay updated on any new developments or concerns they may have.
2. Providing exceptional service: I always strive to deliver top-notch service to clients, exceeding their expectations whenever possible. By consistently providing high-quality work and solutions, clients will trust and rely on my expertise, making them more likely to continue working with me.
3. Listening to feedback: I actively seek feedback from clients and listen to their suggestions, concerns, and needs. This helps me understand how I can improve my services and tailor them to better meet clients’ requirements.
4. Offering personalized solutions: I believe in providing customized solutions to my clients, as each organization has unique cybersecurity needs. By offering tailored services and advice, I can help clients feel valued and understood, which in turn, strengthens their loyalty to my brand.
