We were lucky to catch up with Sebastian Vega recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sebastian , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
Becoming a music producer wasn’t an easy feat, I spent most of my 20s locked down in a room attempting to create music and failing thousands of times, over and over and over. I watched endless youtube tutorials and got involved into music production community schools.
If I could go back in time, and started all over again… I would have a paid a one on one mentorship with a really high skilled music producer, so they could teach me all the tips and tricks of the business and the craft.
I would have also studied music theory more in depth as it would have made my music production process a lot easier, and I would have also studied finance a lot earlier in life so I could afford higher skilled courses.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I think as anyone when they are about 18 years old and straight out of high school you are completely lost on what you want to do with life… I knew I always wanted to help people in a way and I thought becoming some sort of doctor would be the best choice.
I quickly realized that I could only help 1 patient a time and that I had to be fully physically present at all times…I wanted to create a bigger impact in society without me being fully present all the time as it was not really a scalable solution.
As I was thinking of how I could impact a lot of people in the world I had music playing in the background trying to help me brainstorm, and I still couldn’t figure it out.
It wasn’t until I went to a Ultra music festival in Miami in 2011 when I realized the solution to my problem had been in front of me all along.. MUSIC.
I realized that If I made music, I could be impacting peoples live all over the world without me being there.. I am sure there are other ways to do this. But for myself Music was the answer.
After that decision in 2011 I haven’t looked back and my life has revolved around making the best music possible.
for about 8 years I tried to figure it out all on my own and I did progress a lot, but it wasn’t until I met my now mentor world wide hit songwriter and producer that helped me tremendously in my music production creating process.
I now help inspiring singers/songwriters/artists and music producers get to the next level of their music production… when I find the right candidate that fits the culture I bring them in and teach them what it takes to be come a hit singer songwriter and producer.
What sets me apart from other producers is that I am fully committed in making the best song possible in a very authentic way, using scientific proven methods that will help the songs reach its full potential in terms of revenue and reach to a bigger audience. (Generating Results)
I am most proud of the approach I take with the music I create as it all starts with an intention and usually that intention is to make the listener feel something that can inspire them to do something special in their lives.
I would like my clients to know that I am committed to make the best song possible with the methods that I know work best for the current market.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2018, Due to the extremely stressful lifestyle that I was living In I came down with a very strong bacterial infection in my face, after a few days I realized that it wasn’t going away and I ended up going to my primary care physician. My physician unknowingly prescribed me 2 Antibiotics that I was severely allergic to and by the time I realized I was allergic to it it was too late.
My entire body started to shut down and I was left in a partially vegetable state. most of my body was completely paralyzed and I had to learn how to use all of the functions of my body again. It was an extremely difficult time but with the right functional doctors and a lot of belief and resilience I was able to slow build myself back up from scratch it took 2 years to slowly jog again and move freely.
Now grateful to be able to be fully functional again after 5 years of hard work and determination.
Everything in this world is possible with the right mindset and information.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I think the most reward aspect of being an artist or creative is to know that you can hear a word or a sound or a story (in my case) out in the street or in your day to day life which can then spark an entire song…
which in turn when completed it can be shared with thousands of people around the world creating an energetic ripple effect which not many people are aware of.
A small screeching sound in the streets of Denver, CO could spark a musical idea which in turn, once the musical idea is developed it can affect thousands of people around the world a few months later.
To me this is absolutely fascinating and thats why I do what I do and I love it.
