We recently connected with SEBASTIAN MARIN and have shared our conversation below.
SEBASTIAN, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
Throughout my life I have had many jobs but I have not found any that make me feel fulfilled. The design was always something incredible for me. Something that attracted me and caught my attention. At one point, I thought about studying after finishing school, but I didn’t. The years passed and that was still in me.
Finally, during the year 2015, I made up my mind and started studying. I took courses and read a lot. Little by little, I discovered a new world that attracted me more and more.
That’s where the idea of founding my studio, Baloon Naranja Social Media, arose.
I studied and practiced trying to form my own style, my own brand.
When I wanted to realize it, the first client appeared, La Colorada Food Store.
They wanted to change their image and I had to carry out the task.
There were many tests and none convinced me until I finally managed to come up with the idea they wanted.
That was the beginning.
Graphic design is addictive, it is being able to create without limits, it is being able to discover and shape ideas. It’s unique.

SEBASTIAN, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Within what I do, my specialty is logo design.
It is not easy since it is about putting in an image everything that represents a brand that was not born yet.
Many times, the client wants his logo to contain many things, drawings, letters, symbols, which makes the design confusing. For this reason, my work also demands that I show you the way to a clean and concrete design.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Ser creativo no es facil.
Muchas veces nos encontramos con cierta incomprencion porque nuestras ideas e imaginacion suelen correr mas rapido de lo normal y no todos lo captan.
La creatividad no es viene en botella, no se compra ni se puede aprender. La creatividad esta dentro de uno, fluye. O se tiene o no se tiene.
Cuando entrego un trabajo, escuchar al cliente decir “Hey! Me encanta! es lo que yo queria!” es un momento increible que vas mucho mas alla de lo economico, de lo material. Es la satisfaccion de saber que pude lograrlo.
Cada diseño es un desafio. Es decir “Y ahora?”
Pero, al terminarlo es “Wow! Si!”
Being creative is not easy.
Many times we find ourselves with a certain lack of understanding because our ideas and imagination tend to run faster than normal and not everyone understands it.
Creativity doesn’t come in a bottle, it can’t be bought or learned. Creativity is within one, it flows. Either you have or you do not.
When I deliver a job, hearing the customer say “Hey! I love it! It’s what I wanted!” It is an incredible moment that you go far beyond the economic, the material. It is the satisfaction of knowing that I was able to achieve it.
Each design is a challenge. I mean “And now?”
But, when you finish it, it’s “Wow! Yes!”

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Reputation depends on how one does the job.
So it’s simple, if we comply with the times, the forms and our work has a quality that exceeds expectations, then the reputation grows.
Basically, as someone said “It is to make the client say WOW instead of LIKE”
