Sebastian, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
As Tattoo artists we get labeled a lot, we are either tough, strong character, Metal heads etc . Older generations can label you as dangerous, thieves there are so many things people fear from tattoo artists and tattooed people. Throughout the years I feel like the fear has wined down but there are still many misconceptions. As for me, I’m just a regular dude with a kind heart, I love my wife I want to have a family and focus on those around me and extend a hand to those who need help.

My name is Sebastian, I am a business owner in Miami. I own a tattoo shop and also tattoo. I specialize in fine line tattoos which consist of delicate lines but profound designs.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a tattoo artist is to be able to develop a design together with the client and then seeing how happy it has made them once finished .
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was working full time as a manager in a hotel. It was easy but not very fulfilling. I always had a dream with my brother to open a studio. One day we had the opportunity to Open one and I jumped into the void. I left my job at the hotel 3 months after opening the studio not knowing what was coming but I just had faith. I believed God would have my back no matter what and he has had my back ever since. My responsibilities at the studio where to take care of the administrative tasks, socialmedia, acocunting, customer service but the tattoo life dragged me down with it and I ended up being a tattoo artist and I wouldn’t change it for the world it has been the most exhilarating experience, as if I had been created for this.
