We recently connected with Sebastian ‘Baz’ Quintans and have shared our conversation below.

Baz, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

I’m going to answer this question in two parts.

As a Producer/Director I want my work to tell amazing stories, to influence others in positive ways, to shed light on important topics, and to create discussions and opportunities for others that will continue for generations.

As a Person I want to be remembered as someone who always led with love and made people smile. A man who protected, provided for, and loved his family and friends unconditionally.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a Latin American filmmaker and photographer based in the U.S. In 2015 my partners and I established 5 O’Clock Productions, where we concentrate on the development of highly crafted Digital Media and Production Services. Products include films, documentaries, photography, and commercials.

Our team is made up of producers, directors, editors and cinematographers who bring years of passion, talent, and experience to our work.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

For me, the most rewarding part about being a creative is seeing how a project evolved from an idea to something real. Seeing our stories, characters, and places come to life is surreal. I once described being on a set as “its like standing inside of your brain”. Additionally, seeing our clients’ needs and expectations being surpassed when we deliver a final project is just as rewarding and important for us, as we love building long lasting business relationships with them.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I think what helps us build our reputation in our industry is Quality and Consistency. We take our Production Quality standards very seriously and always go above and beyond to deliver the best product no matter the scope.
