We were lucky to catch up with Sean Que recently and have shared our conversation below.
Sean, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
My life took an unexpected turn when, after years of cautious decision-making, I experienced two accidents within three months, resulting in the loss of my truck driving job. Faced with this abrupt change, and with a one-year-old son relying on me, I made a bold decision: to take control of my destiny. No longer content to work for others, I resolved to pursue my passion for photography full-time and become my own boss. It was time to lead by example and forge my own path in life.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Media has always been one of my greatest passions and gifts. As an entertainer myself, I understand the power and responsibility that comes with creating art. Images and videos capture our souls and trap them in a moment in time. They are to be cherished and shared forever.
I hope to share my passion with you by telling amazing stories through picture and video that not only capture a moment, but help write the your history as we travel through this beautiful and mysterious world.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Society can bolster creatives, artists, and a flourishing creative ecosystem by investing in funding and grants, offering accessible studio and exhibition venues, fostering collaboration and networking avenues, integrating arts education into curriculums, advocating for diversity and inclusivity in creative fields, and acknowledging the vital role of art and creativity in community enrichment and innovation.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I firmly believe that art serves as the ultimate unifier, bridging diverse individuals through laughter, smiles, and shared emotions. As a creative, I contribute to this collective cohesion, often witnessing how art transcends challenging circumstances. Whether it’s a favorite artist headlining a festival, a movie capturing our sentiments, or a song resonating with our emotions, art has a remarkable ability to uplift and brighten our days. For me, the most gratifying aspect is the impact my art has on others, enriching their lives in meaningful ways.
