Sean P McKenna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My aim is to support arts and entertainment so that people have a shot at a meaningful opportunity of success.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve been a musician all my life. Due to discouragement and defeat, I got out of the business in 1995 and didn’t reengage until 2020. I moved through the business again. In 2020, because I couldn’t play, I decided to start doing interviews with some of my music friends. It became a pretty popular thing. We have over 680 interviews, we work with 10 PR firms and represent 7 artists currently in their endeavours
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
How do you walk across a mine field. Go across on your own and risk injury or death? Or find someone who has done it and walk in their footsteps? Too many people want to appear self made. Successful people are successful for a reason and will help. As for help.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Moving from sports radio to a music podcast in 2020. Life changing
