We recently connected with Sean Nation and have shared our conversation below.
Sean , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
My mom bought my first Real professional camera back when I was serious about doing photography (I’m still am to this day) and my step dad bought over 1K of photography gears like back drops, lenses, camera backpack, etc. They were investing in my soon to be small business I would form.
Sean , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello my is Jay but you van call me “Sean Nation.” I’ve been doing photography since 2012 and started my small business in May of 17th, 2017 called “Saint Nation’s Studio.” I got in by way of my late Grandmother on my fathers side and my mentors who I would work with on different projects, etc. When it comes other photographers and sets me apart from them is the idea of not having you spend too much in order have top quality service. On my Google business page one of the things I talk about is being a link “Saint Nation’s Studio is meant to be the link between those who can afford the professional photography service and those who can’t. ”
My most proud photos I’ve ever taken was of one my favorite heroes of all time Stan Lee at a Comic con event. getting some amazing shoots of him laughing and being with his family (aka his fans) and other one was of my mom graduating from college. When it comes to potential clients, followers or fans? I want them to know is that I like to foster a healthy relationship with those I work with, fans of, etc. I try to keep an open mind about everyone I come in contact with also give them a level of trust as well.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
For me it’s word of mouth. sometimes social media or website that promote business. most of the time it’s word of mouth from family, family friends or those I work with at my regular job.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I’ll ask for there social media pages or email and at times message them about something new I got going on or event we’ll both be at and ask if they wanna shoot with me. as for loyalty? It’s up to them wheatear they like or wanna support me. I try very hard not to ask them to support me unless its important for me and I know I can do more good with said project, event, etc.
