Sean, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Max Lux Media was launched by Rob Esposito and myself in January 2021. Launching a video production/photo business during a pandemic was definitely a risk, especially since our target clients are medium size business owners.
Most people were still wearing masks and staying 6ft apart, so this presented many challenges in our business, ranging from networking opportunities to filming locations and of course the economy. A key strategy for our first year in business was product photography, I feel like it really helped us get the momentum needed during the period of remote work.
Overall, things are going in a good direction and I’m very glad that we took the risk to open our business when and where we did. I see a lot of positive signs in San Diego county. Most noteably, a recent influx in professionals and companies moving here.

Max Lux Media is a video production company that helps medium size businesses represent their brand and products. Launched by a pair of seasoned entrepreneurs that understand how to create results for businesses.

One of the things that I am most proud of is our proposal process, it really sets us apart from the competition. After our discovery meeting, we put together a custom proposal that clearly lays out our process, deliverables, expectations and a detailed breakdown of the cost. We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
We met over a decade ago in the craft beer industry. Rob had just launched a San Diego based craft brewery and I had recently graduated college. With a fresh bachelors degree in hand, I decided to move home to San Diego and explore working in the craft beer industry. My first apprenticeship in the industry was under Rob, working together for almost a year while he taught me the fundamentals of professional craft beer production.
Over the course of many years and many batches of beer… our friendship grew stronger. Eventually turning into planning the launch of Max Lux Media in the summer of 2020.
