We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sean Chapman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sean below.
Sean, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Determination, willingness and not taking “no” for an answer. In order to be successful you have to be willing to work the hardest you’ve ever worked. You have to be determined to work harder than everyone else. You have to never take no for an answer.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Hello! My name is Sean Chapman and I am a filmmaker. First I want to give honor to God because without Him none of me would be possible. I got into film when I was in college. I went to school for Music and my school choir needed a resident photographer. I feel in love with film and the rest is history. What sets me apart from others is my work ethic and customer service. I will always get the job done no matter what. I want to be known as the filmmaker who can literally film anything. You name it, I’ll film it.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn that I’m the best around. That makes you complacent. It makes you content with where you are. Being in Atlanta I’ve learned that I’m no where near the best and I have lots of room to grow.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
For me, it’s word of mouth. I’ve gotten booked from word of mouth more than anything in my career. When you do good work and you’re a good person, the clients will come.
