Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Scumbag Fred. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Scumbag , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
Over the years, the dollars have fluctuated with the amount I’ve have earned. But as of the last 6 years I’ve been able to atleast pay the rent and feed myself from music. Saving is very tedious and hard at times but it’s a very fulfilling thing to survive off music knowing you going nowhere but up.

Scumbag , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been making alternative hip hop music for 14 years. Opened up for countless big name acts from Trash Talk to Jpegmafia to lighter hearted artists like YBN Nahmir, Sada Baby & Lucki. My most proudest moments are definitely my 3 headlining tour experiences. There’s nothing like being in a place you’ve never been before and people who you don’t know going absolutely bonkers for you. I got into this industry for one reason purely, to be %100 myself in my character..

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I’ve slept on the street a lot throughout this rode of being a artist. Had a lot of people close to me get murdered or kill themselfs over the time and it’s scary and terrible to see. But the highs in this business where you rock a dog ass show or someone talks to you at a certain time that’s THEE perfect time. There’s no describing the feeling of being all you, nothing makes or takes from you but you.
