We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Scott Kindred a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Scott, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
I sat around and decided to come up with a new type of comedy about pot and I wanted it to be PG-Rated and funny without a bunch of stoners sitting around smoking. That’s been done. I met with Scott and pitched the idea, and he was on board, so we agreed to work together. We both worked at Warner Brothers at the time.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a former war correspondent, Journalist, and public Affairs officer. I have become a full-time writer and executive producer. I am very proud that my scripts cover comedy, science fiction, drama, wartime and military drama.
My book series Left behind Letters from series is designed to put a spotlight on the tragedies of war. They’re true stories and a 7-8 book series that covers Iraq, Afghanistan, Kabul, Kandahar, Saigon, Soule, Abu-Ghraib, possibly Kurdistan.
In that vein, Cannabis Farms is a comedic six-book series that highlights the Monticeto family and their continued family farm struggles. The Artwork on each cover is recognizable and copyrighted.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I was mobilized to Iraq several times. It was a grind that almost ended me. I came through the other side.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Last, I am writing these series of books to inspire, entertain, and inform the public. That is the most important aspect of our writing. There are hundreds of thousands of locals left behind in war zones. They are being systematically hunted and murdered for helping the US Military.
Cannabis Farms is the necessary sense of humor and fun we ALL need right now. It can also be a cultural phenomenon given its subject matter.
