We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Schakara Arrazola-Tiscareno. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Schakara below.
Schakara, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the best boss, mentor, or leader you’ve ever worked with.
Brent Seebohm was such an incredible boss, that I have not been able to work for anyone but myself after him.
That’s the biggest compliment, he is such an impactful being. Brent was my mentor, leader and friend for many years in life. I learned so much from him while managing under him, not only about business but also about myself.
He did a great job of investing into our futures with continuous training and leadership summits/ workshops. Brent truly knows how to take care of his team. We often did team dinners, outings and team retreats. He would always go above and beyond to celebrate Birthdays and provide self-care services. I truly felt heard and seen.
My favorite thing about him is his heart, he never held my circumstances against me and did what he could to support.
While I was managing for him, he provided me with a work car that way my husband and I didn’t have to share our one car. This allowed more flexibility in my work schedule to be present for my team and members.
There was a time I need an advance on my check because my cat needed emergency medical support, and he didn’t hesitate. He supported me as I transitioned into a working mom after having my son. Literally creating a safe and supportive place for me to pump and take care of my child needs.
When my Father was dying, Brent was also experiencing the same with his Father. He was always transparent, he understood life happens. As I took care of my Father, Brent allowed me to continue working for him. He knew the difficulties I was facing and never stopped providing guidance and support along the way!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
As a Soul Care Practitioner, I draw on many ancient medicine modalities to support my clients and Community. I call on Gaia, as an Earth Priestess integrating her sacred medicines into my practice. I am here to bring harmony and balance as I guide and support others through their journey. I find Death to be just as important and beautiful as Life. I live and move through Heart Centered Leadership.
I am proud to provide other practitioners a platform to join as a collective for our community members. This Summer, I held my first annual Feminine Radiance Summit. It was a beautiful intimate start to something magical. I am excited to see the growth of this Community offering over the next few years!
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Openness to adapt! Having your own business, provides so many teaching moments.
You start with this idea, create a blueprint and business plan.
When in actually it is more like surfing. How well can you ride the waves?
Love & WithStand is now four years standing as a Holistic Business. The growth has been and continue to be Organic. The inner structure and mission of my business has always remained the same, Soul Care. While the expression and the exterior image of the business ebbs and flows with the needs and times.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Showing up at community events!
The first few years of my business, I spent a lot of time vending at Holistic Fairs and Expos. Gaining exposure in high traffic areas is a great way to get your name and work out noticed. I also took advantage of any interview or podcast opportunities that allow me a large platform to share my message beyond my network and followers.
