We were lucky to catch up with Sayem (Supreme) Anukukkan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Sayem (Supreme) thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
All throughout my child & teen experiences I’ve been intuitively artistic in my own ways. I loved to draw, but I didnt think my drawings were good enough, so I’d do that for self. I loved to sing, yet I was bad at creating songs. Then I got into learning how to play instruments in 5th grade at Morrow Elementary. I fell in love with instruments from that point on and that transitioned all the way to post highschool experiences. Back then thats when we still had the fat body desktops and I downloaded FL Studios. I was really good at it. I loved music, so I loved making beats. Then some things happened with someone that was close to me at the time & stole my beats. I could never find them again, and that shot my spirits down for that route, yet I never forgot the concepts of making good music. Music/band will always be a special part of my life. Music is the expression of the soul. So in between those amazing band experiences I would always have opportunities to take pictures for people. 95% of the times I’ve taken pictures for others they’d say something like “wow you take really good pictures”. Nevertheless, thats something I never noticed about my skills until 2016. One thing I have always known how to excel in is technology. It’s just too easy. With all this talent I had, I subconsciously disregarded all of those things. Yes, including band/music. I got lost in the world. Not from being on the streets or anything like that, but from trying to do all the right things for other people, keeping others happy, aligning my life path with one that was only someone else’s pov of how my life should go. Trying to find jobs that I actually like, attempting to keep job paths I would be interested in and I was extremely amazing at everything I’ve done. My stepdad imprinted this phrase in my mind as I was being raised “When you do something, make sure you’re always doing it to be one of the best, or the best at doing it.” Sadly, every job that I loved, I lost them due to things happening that was out of my power. For example, in highschool I trained for 5 years for the Marines (Held back 10th grade bc of one point… guess what class… math.) I passed the ASVAB on my first try at MEPS, got cleared for boot camp. I’m hype at this point. “2 weeks and I’m off to Parris Island” I said. The day of the final test come. The very last part of the final… the 3 mile run. Did I mention to them that I had asthma at a young age growing up? Of course not. Then BOOM. Out of all the years, this is when I start having an asthma attack, which turned into a panic attack bc I failed the run. The most important part of the test. I was broken. I never knew I would ever feel pain in my heart and mind THAT bad. I was officially depressed, for years that pain went on and no one knew. Finding my path as a professional creative, going against the grain of the average person wasn’t easy, and it still isnt now. Nevertheless, I never gave up on myself after all of those hard times. Also in 2016 my beautiful sons’ mother was pregnant with him. Then we got into an accident w/ an 18 wheeler at that same time period (it was his fault). So I’m sure you could just imagine what was going through my head at the time. I recieved permanent body damage in my neck & back due to that accident. So slaving with that body damage, plus for people that wouldn’t care if I dropped dead the next day & could replace me with no hesitation? Oh nah, that wasn’t gonna fly with me. So I decided to start my own business. One that will branch out like a huge, strong, beautiful tree w/ branches that can reach across 3 states. First starting with photography and videography. Two things that I’m amazing at, now I just needed to learn how to edit videos on a computer. Oh yeah, thats no problem with my knowledge of music, FL Studios, etc. So, I used $2,000 of the accident claim & bought my first camera (Canon T6i). That’s when I knew I was in it for the long run.
Sayem (Supreme), love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
In my last interview I went by the name of KENNETH FANT, which is my strawmans name. I am currently going by the title of Säyem (Supreme) Ânukukkän/Director KU (Business Persona)/RoséKkän. In this lifetime I have reached the age of 24, an age that at one point I didnt know if I was ever gonna make it past 23. My only brother passed away when I was in 6th grade and it scarred me. The place that I came to this earth (Cincinatti, Ohio) is the same place he was killed in. He was in college, getting his life together after being in jail just for hanging around the wrong people. My memories of him, faint. I never got to experience much with my brother that I can actually remember from a young age. My mom, sister & I moved to Atlanta when I was 3. With my sister already grown I basically was the only child. I had to find my own way through life. Building up so much resilience from my traumatic experiences, I transitioned all of that pain and turned it into a way that I can heal others while putting that in my work. I’ve always been a healer for other people whether they knew it or not. Physically, mentally, and spiritually. The way that I express myself in my work is unlike the ordinary photographer/videographer. As I’ve branched my business out, I’ve found ways to incorporate things like my love for spreading knowledge, and uplifting other people to their highest selves into it. Just as much as the creative work can be entertaining, it can be knowledgeable, it can heal peoples mind, body, and soul as well. For the quality of my photography/videography work, I charge very decent vs expensive. I’ve had plenty of people to tell me that I should be charging way more than I charge now, but I’m not money hungry like that, even tho it’s a must have in todays earth. For those who are into healing their bodies & minds, I sell my own Herbalistic healing elixers that I call “Gods’ Elixers”. All natural ingredients to heal you and remove unneeded toxins vs what the pharmacies give you that puts toxins in you to disable you. Also I am currently starting my very on “designer” clothing line called “9iriusXHeadquarters”. This brand will bring out the best in everyone’s spirits, very uplifting to those willing to live a better life and become more knowledgeable about who they are and where they really came from, other than just being “born on earth”. There’s so much more beauty to life that’s being withheld from the masses by the elites, because they want to keep control over us. With my brand, everyone will be guided to know the truth through love, divine justice, & revelation. I have a whole lot more plans in store for my business tree. This is only the beginning.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes there is. I love my planet, I love everyone and everything unconditionally. I was raised with love, but not with money. Both sides of my family tree consists of people who worked for the system. Nobody has their own business, thus everyone is dependent of a company for the rest of their lives. I do not want to depend on a company for the way I should live my life. Long term mission “Generational Wealth” is a go. Also, the world, especially my “black/latino” family deserves the truth about who they are plus the other “mysteries” of life, that will drastically uplift Mother Gaia & everyone on her. So mission “Restore The Truth” is a go.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect for me with being an artist/creative is being able to freely express myself, being happy & content with life, whether thats through the work that I put out for the public or the insider business experiences I have with those that wants to collaborate with me or get services. It’s one of the typical things you would hear a creative entrepreneur state, yet its highly undervalued in today’s society. Our neuromelanated Entrepreneurs are just starting to get recognition from the masses because things in America are changing. So coming from a world of the land of the free, that praises those who has a job, while still not being able to live happily and healthy on their own… being able to get noticed and make money from doing my own thing is a just a blessing only the strong risk takers take knowing that path is blocked by alot of obstacles. Thats why the reward at the end is so high. Dedication & Passion.
