We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Savina And Serena Perey. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Savina and Serena below.
Savina and Serena , appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Working on The Fostered has been such a meaningful experience for us—it’s not just our first movie together, but also our very first acting gig. Being able to share that journey side by side, as twin sisters on-screen and off, made every moment unforgettable. We were incredibly lucky to have been given lead roles right from the start, and we poured everything we had into our performances—our excitement, nerves, and love for storytelling. It felt like the beginning of something we had been waiting for our whole lives.
We also recently had the chance to perform live in I Hope You’re Having Fun in Hell, Dad, a powerful play that was part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Once again, we played sisters, and it was such a raw, emotional, and fulfilling experience to be on stage together. The energy of a live audience, the vulnerability of theater—it challenged us in all the best ways.

Savina and Serena , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We are half Filipino half Caucasian identical twins born in the Philippines and now based in Los Angeles. Our journey into the industry began when we were just three years old, modeling for our mother’s clothing brand. That early experience sparked a love for being in front of the camera, which led us to work with major brands like Nike, Target, Walmart, the NFL, and Universal Studios. As we grew older, our passion expanded into acting. We recently landed our first lead roles in the feature film The Fostered, which marked our on-screen debut, followed by our live theater debut in I Hope You’re Having Fun in Hell, Dad at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, where we once again played sisters. What sets us apart is the natural connection and chemistry we bring as real-life twins, along with a deep love for storytelling, a strong work ethic, and a drive to represent our culture and background with authenticity. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited to continue building meaningful careers in both modeling and acting.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A story that really illustrates our resilience goes back to when we were seven years old. That’s when we first told our mom we wanted to pursue modeling and acting seriously. But she felt strongly that we should enjoy our childhood first—to play, grow, and develop a strong sense of values and a real appreciation for hard work. It took five years of asking, waiting, and showing her we were serious before she finally agreed to let us sign with an agent and manager. Looking back, we’re so grateful for that time. It gave us space to build confidence, sharpen our skills, and make sure this was truly what we wanted. When the opportunities finally came, we were ready—and we haven’t looked back since.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For us, the most rewarding aspect of being artists is the ability to tell different stories and explore a wide range of perspectives through acting and modeling. Each role we take on—whether it’s for a film, a photoshoot, or a live performance—gives us the chance to step into someone else’s shoes and bring their experience to life. We love the challenge of transforming into different characters, expressing various emotions, and sharing narratives that might be very different from our own. Even in modeling, we get to project different moods, styles, and personalities, which is not only creatively fulfilling but also incredibly fun. It’s exciting to know that through our work, we can connect with people, spark emotions, and help represent a more diverse range of stories.
