Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Savannah’s World. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Savannah’s, thanks for joining us today. The more we talk about good leadership the more we think good leadership practices will spread and so we’d love for you to tell us a story about the best boss you’ve had and what they were like or what they did that was so great?
The best boss and mentor I’ve ever had is my mom, Coach Shantell’s Natural Hair. She’s not just my mom — She’s my biggest inspiration and the reason I started Savannah’s World — and she also helped me bring it to life and make it what it is today. Watching her build multiple businesses from the ground up while still being an amazing mom taught me that leadership is about love, consistency, and vision.
She always includes me in her creative projects and encourages me to express my own ideas. I’ve learned that being a boss isn’t just about being in charge — it’s about inspiring others, leading by example, being creative, and staying positive even when things get hard.
Because of her, I believe that I can build my own empire too — and help other girls see that they can be young, confident, and successful in their own way.

Savannah’s, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi, my name is Savannah Taylor and I’m the creator of Savannah’s World! I started my YouTube channel because I love creating, talking to the camera, and sharing fun and positive moments from my life. I’ve always wanted to inspire other girls like me to believe in themselves and chase their dreams early.
I come from a family of entrepreneurs — my mom, Coach Shantell’s Natural Hair, runs her own cosmetic and digital education brands, and watching her do that made me realize that I can be a boss too. I wanted to create a platform that shows what it’s like being a creative kid, balancing homeschool, family, fun and freedom while learning business all at the same time.

Let’s move on to buying businesses – can you talk to us about your experience with business acquisitions?
I haven’t personally bought a business yet, but I’ve learned a lot about the process from watching my mom, Coach Shantell’s Natural Hair. She’s taught me how important it is to understand what makes a business valuable — like the brand, the customers, and the systems that keep it running.
Being part of her different brands has shown me what it takes to build something from the ground up that could one day be bought or franchised. It’s inspired me to think long-term and treat Savannah’s World as a real business, not just a YouTube channel. I’m learning now so that one day, I’ll be ready to buy or invest in a business that fits my goals.

We’d appreciate any insights you can share with us about selling a business.
I haven’t sold a business yet, but I’ve learned how to build one that has real value. My mom always says, “create and start that business and do something you love.” That means starting is just the first step, knowing your numbers, creating a strong image, go after your passion, and build a community that trusts you.
Even though I’m still young, I’ve seen firsthand that a business isn’t just about making money — it’s about creating something that helps people. If I ever sold a business in the future, I’d want to make sure it’s to someone who shares the same values and passion for inspiring others.
