Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Savanna Reed. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Savanna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
Being an only child I had a lot of time on my hands and so I became curious and also creative. I would always make something, or figure out how to make something, once I went to High School, joined yearbook and graduated I decided to use those talents to make money. At first I was making logos and different things for fun, helping friends out, playing around with creating things digitally. Just learning what to do and how to do it so that when I did start to charge I was worth the what I charged. Eventually people would approach me saying they would give me money if I made them something whether it was for their business or personal use. I gained many clients from word of mouth. That sparked an idea and so I became more knowledgebale about Graphic Design and expanding my range of services as well. Even now, I recently became certified in Business Branding so for anyone who is in the beginning stages of starting a brand/business I can help steer you in the right direction, going over what different colors mean choosing a brand name that stands out and more. Being a business owner is continually adapting to your craft and changing your skills as the world changes. I am even looking into getting more certifications to help not only me but my current and future clients get the most from what I have to offer. Starting up is easy but maintaining it and being consistent is where the real work begins.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am the owner of Creative & Gifted Hands I specialize in Business Branding, Logo Design, Business Cards, Resumes, Flyers & T-Shirt Designs. From the moment I receive a new client and begin working on their project it is a fast and easy process. I get as much information as I can about the project and I begin working on it that same day. I do not have a set amount of hours I work, I have stayed up many late nights completing work for my clients, making their vision come to life. I never want to make clients feel like they have to wait to substanatial amount of time to get their project completed. I pride myself on quality work in a timely manner. I communicate throughout the process of what they think so far or how much control I have when doing an assignment. I just want any potential customers to know that with Creative & Gifted Hands you truly are in great hands and however you envision it I can bring it to life. Being a Christian I have helped many small Christian business owners as well as those in ministry, this is one of the ways I can serve my people while utilizing the many gifts and talents the Lord has given me.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Many of my clients are Christians and so when I first started out I advertised heavily on Twitter because I had the biggest following and prescence at the time. On a weekly basis I would share that I do these services and letting them know how they could reach out to me and I would get messages coming in. Social media life and the world is constantly changing so eventually I moved over to Instagram as well as making a Facebook business page. Now I can post on Instagram and it was automatically show to the Facebook page. I can reach more people with a little less work. When it comes to social media the biggest things is going to where the people respond. Because there are apps like Threads and TikTok you can reach thousands of people easily but you have to play around with the type of content that people respond to, once you figure that out and you have a good amount of followers you are sure to be successful and have longevity in your business.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The only thing truly driving my creative journey is my desire to help others. There are so many ways to help people, for me its small business owners and so if I can help them in their journey and set them up for success I’ve done my part and I can then move on to the next person. Providing services of any kind requires your heart to always be in the right place and truly care about the people you are doing work for. In each project I complete that is my goal.
