Saunya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
I started my journey as a content creator on Youtube. I love recording video content for my audience. I simply be myself and talk about my life as a singer, mom, wife and business owner.
My platform was monitized in 2018 and my videos old and new are colloecting revenue.
On October 16th, 2021 I signed with an agency on the BIGO LIVE platform and became a paid streamer. After just one year I am now an agency owner making over $10,000 per month.
As an agency owner I recruit and sign individuals with big personalities and talent to go live on the app and make money.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
When I was young I had no confidence and didn’t believe that I could do anything good. I grew up in a family that lead me to believe that I was the ugly child because I was darker than my mom and siblings. I later discovered I could sing and started singing in church. It was a gift that God gave me that no one in my family could take from me. So, I became very serious about singing and started persuing music. As I got older, I was able to travel and meet industry professionals who gave me amazing advice on how to build my career as a singer. After years of persuing music, I discovered my big personality and starting recording videos for Youtube. I have recorded cover songs, music games, relationship advise videos, talk shows and more. I even did a prank on my mom once 😂. In 2021 I started as a paid live broadcaster on BIGO LIVE. I was given the opportunity to build my bank account while interacting with a live virtual audience, singing playing games and just simply having fun.
Now, I am recruiting daily and giving others the same opportunities I have been blessed to take advantage of for the past year.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is simply to set my family up to never struggle again. I want my children to see how hard work pays off. I also want to retire my husband and open up a performing arts center. We want to teach music and provide a place for our people to host amazing events.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Consistency is key! Creating content over and over on a regular basis is the key to building your audience. Having scheduled dates/times to release videos tells your audience where they need to be. They will look for you and if you deliver, they will always return. The same with live streaming. I go live Monday – Friday at 7pm CST. My audience knows that they will see me then and that keeps them returning back.
