Sasha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
One of my favorite clients was actually my first. For his entire adult life he had kept an extensive collection of childhood toys and treasures. He was also an avid sports memorabilia collector. But the collections lived in boxes. They were never displayed, shared or showcased. This client’s family had been searching for someone to help for years. Multiple family members had tried to help but always gave up because of the daunting nature of the task. My client’s dream was to have a family friendly rec room with autographed baseball cards and championship tickets framed and hung on the wall; for his boy scout canteen, patches and handbooks to be seen and smiled at; for his original G.I. Joe to relive its glory days; for his pennants and middle school trombone to hang safely and tastefully around the room – a place where he could share these gems while watching the game and playing pool or shuffleboard. With a tremendous and loving effort, I was honored to be put up to the task. Nearly 3 weeks later I had repainted the room “Yankee Blue” to honor his roots in New York, framed tickets and posters, hung a huge gallery wall of artifacts and memorabilia, styled the room with furniture to compliment his style, hung new lighting over the game tables and found the perfect curio cabinet to showcase his childhood treasures. To date this is the most lengthy, meticulous and in depth project I’ve taken on, and still one of my favorites. It’s an honor to be trusted with prized possessions. The best prize though, is experiencing the impact of fulfilling someone’s lifelong dream.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Becoming a designer and professional organizer was a natural evolution, though not one I predicted. I’ve always been an artist who (atypically) needs an orderly space to get the creative juices flowing. I earned a BA in Fine Art, then attended graduate school to become a public school teacher. After teaching art to young children for over a decade I was ready to dive into a new venture. My goal is to support families and individuals while also doing work that feeds my mind and fuels my body. I love manual labor, I love solving multi-faceted problems, and I really love creating beautiful, functional spaces. My eye for design and handy-woman skills set me apart from others. Shortly after starting Tidy AF I was diagnosed with ADHD. My diagnosis came at the perfect time. Learning more about ADHD and all the ways it presents itself in my own life and the lives of others has been pivotal in how I get to know my clients and provide personalized support. The work I do with clients is 100% judgement free. I dig into their habits to discover their strengths. I also study the flows and hot spots of a home to create an original plan with age appropriate organizing systems for every member of the household. My design work focuses on functional furniture pieces, unique and colorful decor choices and room layout optimization. I am most proud of my motley crew skill set. I am a one-stop-shop for folks looking to revamp an entire space and organize or simplify their lives.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My company name! The name Tidy As F*ck gets me a ton of positive attention. My goal was to establish a brand name that was both fun and accurate to my skill set. My reputation has been built on my promise to provide 100% judgement free organizing and colorful home designs. This coupled with my handy-woman services set me apart from other organizers. For most of my clients I am a one-stop-shop for top to bottom room overhaul – everything from wall repair to painting, room design, home layout planning and organization. I meet my clients where they’re at with candid, supportive guidance throughout the purging process, then take it to the next level with thoughtful, personalized touches in every home.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I check in on clients a few weeks after each job. I want them to know I have their back. I’m their accountability partner and cheerleader. Ultimately I’m there to rescue them when the chaos of life takes over. I want my clients to know I’m always here to support them through life transitions, seasons of chaos or to refresh their space as kids get older, hobbies change or they move into a new space entirely. This is what I have built with Tidy AF – I get to swoop in and replace anxiety and clutter with peace and order. #RestoreOrder #tidyafgreenville
