We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sasha Goldenberger a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Sasha, appreciate you joining us today. Do you manage your own social media?
I have mostly done my social media myself, however I have had some help here and there and along the way. Can’t take credit for all of it that’s for sure! I appreciate the patience and skills to those that are social media guru’s.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
licensed Cosmetologist for 16 years and have owned my own salon for 9. I Love doing classic, shags, french girl chic cuts, lived in color, natural redheads, balayage and curly girl styling. I do my best to use cruelty, sulfate, ammonia, PPD and paraban free hair and makeup products. Behind the chair I use Jack Winn color along with his styling products also utilizing Cult and King’s scalp care.
Gold salon has been up and running since 2015. I love Splitting my time between my salon doing and doing set styling for commercial, fashion, and red carpet events.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Going thru the covid era being a business owner and hairstylist. Then BLM riots happened and they broke into my salon. Feeling kicked in the gut over and over. Still standing. I’m fortunate to have an amazing family and partner in life and at the end of the day that’s all that matters. I love what I do and it feeds me mentally, creatively and figuratively but i’m not saving life’s! Gotta keep it in perspective.
