Alright, Sarina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?

Always seasonal looks along with extravagant glam I have seen the summer looks with bright colors
I have seen fall looks with autumn colors and earth tones
I have seen winter looks with holiday festive trends
I have seen spring looks with pastel colors
And last but not least everyday looks on the go and date night looks.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a small business owner who is willing to learn each and every day. First I make sure the client skin is good for services for an application because I need to analyze the skin to know the correct products to use. Then I will give the client the look they are wanting and I let them know that their look is only being enhanced because the beauty is already in place. I ask a series of questions to get a fill of what the client is looking for such as what’s the occasion, are there particular colors that’s their interested in, and any allergies or illnesses I need to be aware of.
I am a woman who is passionate about makeup and skincare. My goal is to give a glam that the client will love and it will be beneficial for them to learn more about how to care for their skin.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

How to prep a face before makeup applications. I only knew to wash my face then apply makeup, I was totally wrong. You have to do a mini facial so pre clean, 2nd cleanse, eye cream, moisturizer, tone and spf 30 or higher. Then apply primer and start the application.I noticed a change in my skin my hyperpigmentation and overall texture.
I enrolled in school for aesthetics and I learned more about skin and how to go about treating it. This completely changed my outlook on makeup and how to properly apply it. It was the best investment I could have ever done for my career.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is content on all my social media platforms. Videos every week interaction with the audience and showing appreciation to my clientele.
The more you interact the more likely you will grow your audience.
