Sarau, appreciate you joining us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?

The way I started was a greatly a blessing from God and I can’t exactly take credit for all of it. I was working full time as a project manager when several marketing needs kept coming up that centered around copy writing and creative ideas for clients. During this time I consistently shared how much I loved writing and marketing and was happy to help any way I could. One day at a meeting with our team my supervisor told me to go home and create an LLC so the company could do business with my company so I could be paid for the all work I had completed for an entirely different department. It was that day Creative Copy was born and I began to take on the company and its clients and the rest is as they say history. With the help of the company and word of mouth I was able to manage a group of clients that had a variety of interest from marketing to wanting someone to launch their business or idea. Moving beyond the idea phase is greatly attributed to my former employer who provided a great platform for my company which ultimately became my biggest blessing. It kept me afloat through layoffs, Covid and provided a way for me to work and be at home with my children.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’ve been blessed to have a diverse and fulfilling career, driven by my passion for leadership, entrepreneurship, service, and my faith.

I started my professional journey serving in the United States Air Force, where I managed high-stakes projects and led teams in executing multimillion-dollar initiatives with precision and efficiency. This experience built the foundation for my skills in leadership, project management, and strategic execution.

After my service, I transitioned into entrepreneurship and founded Creative Copy Tx, a company that provides a variety of services including marketing, ghostwriting, and event management. As an entrepreneur, my focus is on helping individuals and organizations tell their stories in compelling ways, whether through content creation or high-end event experiences. Our goal is to provide unique, tailored services that elevate our clients’ brands and create lasting impressions. Leading a team that executes these services is something I take great pride in, and it’s one of the things that sets us apart—our ability to offer customized solutions that blend creativity and business strategy.

I’m also a partner of a corporate company, where I work on corporate ventures, helping scale businesses and develop innovative strategies that drive growth. My role there allows me to merge my business acumen with a focus on larger-scale operations.

In addition to my entrepreneurial efforts, I serve as the Executive Director of a nonprofit founded by Austin Lanier called I Love Youth, which is focused on empowering and uplifting young people. Our mission is to create a positive impact through school assemblies, mentoring programs, and community engagement. I’ve also had the privilege of working with numerous other nonprofits, helping to launch and fundraise for causes that I am deeply passionate about. I find nonprofit work especially rewarding because it allows me to give back and make a direct, tangible difference in people’s lives.

Throughout my career, my faith in God has been the guiding force. I truly owe all my success and resilience to Him. He’s led me through each chapter, helping me navigate the challenges of running businesses, leading teams, and serving others.

What sets me apart is my ability to seamlessly blend different aspects of my life—military discipline, entrepreneurial spirit, corporate strategy, nonprofit leadership, and my faith. I’m most proud of the diversity of impact I’ve been able to make—whether it’s launching successful businesses, empowering youth through nonprofit work, or helping clients communicate their value through marketing and events.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

My resilience single handedly comes from experiencing a pregnancy and the passing of my father all at the same time while managing my business. The level of mental fortitude all came down to those times and how I could handle the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspect of those circumstances. I can say that being able to find the balance and cling to the hope I had in God through it all is what birthed a level of resilience in me that not even my training in the military could touch. For someone that has never experienced the passing of a family member that was extremely close to my heart it was trying times. Being strong in those moments was critical due to the life I was carrying it was constantly on my mind to push through for not only his sake but my health as well. Those moments of resilience and being able to overcome is something I hold onto to this day to help me push past difficult times and remember that nothing that I have faced has come close to those times.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Follow through is what has helped me build my reputation within this market. When you find a like minded person that’s a win in my book but when a like minded person follows through in what they say it’s a game changer and a double win. I attribute my reputation to the level of follow through with people which in my book I would give an A plus lol!
