We recently connected with Sarah Tomer and have shared our conversation below.
Sarah, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we talk about all of your success, let’s start with a story of failure. Can you open up about a time when you’ve failed?
I was a vendor at a popular craft show. Money was spent on the vendors fee, the travel, hotel fees and the supply needed to make wreaths. It was an expensive show as a small business owner. This 3 day show cost thousands and I only sold 2 wreaths.
This was a total loss for my business. But I didn’t let it get to me. It was a learning experience. I brought those Easter wreaths to my October show and sold 13 out of 15. The learning experience was, location. My normal area where I need to be. My local and regular customers always come back to see me. And always do your research. Never give up

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a stay at home mom turned entrepreneur. My love for crafting turned into a business. I make wreaths, swags, centerpieces and florals. I make one of a kind custom made pieces to match your home decor. I absolutely love custom made pieces, but I make year round items.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I’m still learning this, but repeat customers are always the best. Posting on social media and being consistent is key. Doing local craft fairs is always good. Getting your product in front of customers any chance you get. One of my favorite wreath makers always says, trust the process. This always resonates with me. No matter what I’m doing.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I’m always posting new content on my social media page. And encouraging others to follow. I reach out to my personal followers via text letting them know new stuff has been posted and I ask if there’s anything they want. I send text messages with new content so they always get first pick.
