Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Stidham . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Sarah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? The world needs to hear more realistic, actionable stories about this critical part of the business building journey. Tell us your scaling up story – bring us along so we can understand what it was like making the decisions you had, implementing the strategies/tactics etc.
I have always loved all things beauty. Even as a young girl. When I was about 5 years old I cut one of my friends hair and chopped it all off. My mom was mortified but it makes me sure that this is what I am meant to do!
I started out assisting at Sachi salon in Scottsdale Arizona and learned the ins and outs of the salon. I got married started. Family and didn’t see myself working 10 hour days anymore. So I gave up working to stay home with my little one.
Slowly I started doing makeup for a few friends. And it organically turned into a business all on its own. I am booked 2-3 season ahead and work mainly weekends when my husband is home from work with the kids. It truly is my dream come true. I get to be a full time mom to my 3 little boys. And fulfill my passion for helping women look and feel beautiful on the weekends.
Dreams do come true With hard work and a desire to achieve what you’re truly passionate about.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I love what I do. I love helping women feel and look beautiful for a special event. Bringing out someone’s natural beauty with a little bit of makeup and boosting their confidence so they truly glow.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The best way to build your clientele in my opinion is being happy. You attract what you are. I can honestly say all my past clients and women I have worked with I call friends. I love to bring happiness and joy to some one’s day. It’s just easier to Be happy!
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Social media is huge! I keep in touch with past clients and have done some clients hair and makeup multiple times for events. All because we keep in touch via social media.
