We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sarah Pesso. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sarah below.
Sarah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
My life has been full of risks of me believing in myself and taking the plunge. The first big risk I ever took was fully committing and believing in myself and my business. It was taking my first solo trip across the world to Australia. I was a huge move that completely transformed my life as I was forced to grow as a person. I did not come back the same person after that trip. My 3 week trip turned into 4 months and I almost didn’t come home.
Another risk I took was investing $12,000 into a business where I connected with multiple 7/8 figure earners and learned so much about the digital world. This was 8 years ago and I am still connected with those people today. Even though the business didn’t really work out, I wouldn’t change a thing because of connections made.
the next big risk was deciding to host my first mastermind retreat in Bali (which I had never been to prior) so I planned the entire thing without having been there. I had faith I could make it an amazing event and I had 22 influencers and speakers from around the world come and speak and it was an amazing success!
Lastly, deciding to launch my own travel business of hosting group trips to exotic locations around the world. Following my passions and taking the leap of faith that I will make it work somehow. The answer is always no unless you ask, and nothing will ever happen if you don’t take action.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
So I’ve been in the online world for around 9 years now. I have been working remotely around the world for 8 of those years as an executive assistant to 7 and 8 figure earners helping them run and organize their business. That is still something I do and love to do. I’ve always been good with planning and organizing things which is why I curated and hosted a mastermind retreat in Bali and will continue to do events as well. People call me a master connector because I find the best people for what’s needed and connect them with something or someone they need.
Ive been traveling the world my whole life and it’s always been my biggest passion. My family all has the travel bug! I’ve been traveling solo for almost 10 years now. People have been wanting to come along and begging me to do something combining my passions for travel and incorporate it into my life for years now. This was a big part of why I decided to launch my own business.
If you’re new here all you have to do is scroll through my page or look at all my highlights of my trips around the world like climbing the Great Wall of China, trekking up the tongarirro crossing in New Zealand ⛰️, exploring some of the 7 wonders of the world 🗿, the ancient cities in the Middle East, hanging in the world down under of Australia 🇦🇺, seeing the ruins in Guatemala 🛖, flying over Mt. Everest 🗻, exploring the jungles of Belize and Bali and Costa Rica 🐒, plus more!
I started solo traveling because I had a terrible time getting friends to travel with me. Everyone was like YES let’s go! but when it came down to booking anything, it never worked out. It was ALWAYS something coming up and every excuse under the sun. like how they say the trip never leaves the group chat.
There’s so many people who stay at home because they’re scared to go to a certain “dangerous” country alone, or they don’t want to go anywhere alone. Now you don’t have to.
My trips are unique. I tirelessly scour the 🌏 to uncover hidden gems, off-the-beaten-path places, and extraordinary experiences that will leave you mind blown. From remote hiking trails to cultural immersion experiences, to away from the crowd private experiences, I bring you travel moments that are both out of this world and meaningful. You will NOT come home the same person as when you left. I also go to places that not a lot of group trips go like I’m doing a Harry Potter trip to UK/Scotland and a girls trip to bora bora where girls can finally get that water bungalow without feeling like they can’t go there because it’s a “couples place”.
My goal is to get people to see the world. To leave their homes and countries and see new cultures. New food. New people. Experience and create memories. See that they too can travel. That it’s not as scary as they think. It’s to create a real travel community that brings real people together and it’s not just about influencers or what a lot of the travel industry has become.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There are so many stories of resilience in my journey because that’s how life works right? It’s facing those obstacles head on and overcoming them.
Like having a client screw me over and ghost me and owing me a lot of money putting me in bad situations. To learning budgeting mistakes on my Bali event that we’re big high expensive lessons. To even on my travels like being stuck on the side of a mountain by mt Everest for hours at super high elevation. Or being stranded at an airport in china missing connecting flights and no one speaks English and you have to navigate it all with google translate LOL.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
So what helped me build my reputation was definitely connecting with high level marketers and clients and people. You are who you surround yourself with right? So between being seen with those people and the doors it opened for me, to being a proof of my own product right? People who are on my socials see my whole last 10 years of all my amazing trips and travels and everything I’ve seen and experienced. I do my best to bring them along with me on my journey and be as real as I can. So they feel like they are there with me!
