We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sarah Peavler. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sarah below.
Sarah, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
It takes a clear vision but also understanding that your business and goals are living, tangible things that should be flexible and adaptable to the times. What works today, might not work next month.
It takes grit, discipline and daily persistence for years. It takes getting up earlier and working even when you are tired, I believe that success lies underneath the work you avoid and don’t want to do.
Building a network and business relationships is key. You want to surround yourself with positive, supportive, and likeminded people.
One must be willing to take calculated risks, make quick decisions, and problem solve. Also, it’s good to not dwell on failures, rather solutions. One must be teachable and set the ego aside.
Stay true to your word, values and integrity.
In the wedding industry it is important to build a positive reputation, as well as, keeping my word and delivering the service that was promised.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I worked for the same restaurant for 13 years and I was great at it but decided to make a career change into property management and real estate, when I met my mentor in 2021. Meanwhile, I was given the opportunity to bartend a wedding and I accepted. It was so much fun, that I decided to get the insurance required to perform weddings professionally and start a mobile bar and bartending business.
The business has grown beyond anything I ever expected! We even have 360 video booth service DJ service, event Staffing and plan to add wedding planning and coordinating services in the future.
Myself and my team really enjoy and understand what a privilege it is to be invited into one of the proudest moments of our client’s lives. At the end of each wedding or event, it is an amazing feeling to know that everything went perfectly, and we made it happen!
It is also very rewarding to provide opportunities for my employees, not only monitory opportunities but an opportunity to grow as individuals. I really looked forward to providing more opportunities, solving problems for clients and seeing the business grow!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I made it a point to post content nearly every day. I still do that. A lot of my clients come from social media.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Presence in the community and offering a good service/solving is vital for running a successful business.
