Sarah Lyne, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
One of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on was my month-long journey of self-discovery in Colorado, which I documented on TikTok. At the time, I was feeling lost—uncertain about my path forward in life. I decided to take a leap of faith, leave my comfort zone, and focus on myself.
I explored the area, connected with nature, and prioritized self-reflection. Along the way, I shared my experiences on TikTok, opening up about my struggles and what I was learning. The goal was to inspire others who might also feel stuck or unsure of their direction, showing them that it’s okay to take time to rediscover themselves.
The response was overwhelming—people resonated with my journey, sharing their own stories and finding hope through mine. That project was meaningful because it wasn’t just about me. It became a way to build community, encourage vulnerability, and remind others (and myself) that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a motivational content creator and storyteller who is passionate about inspiring others to prioritize themselves and embrace self-discovery. My work revolves around empowering others through authentic storytelling on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. I create content that encourages people to find their path, embrace their uniqueness, and pursue their passions unapologetically. My videos often focus on themes like self-care, personal growth, and breaking out of comfort zones, blending vulnerability with actionable inspiration.
What sets me apart is my willingness to share my journey in real-time—whether it’s navigating personal challenges, taking bold leaps toward self-discovery, or celebrating small victories. My content isn’t just about showing the highlights; it’s about being honest about the messy, beautiful process of growth.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the sense of community I’ve built with my audience. People often share how my content has helped them take steps toward their own goals, whether that’s starting a new hobby, leaving a toxic situation, or simply feeling less alone in their struggles.
If there’s one thing I want potential followers or collaborators to know about me and my brand, it’s that I’m here to remind people of their own power. Whether it’s through a video, a collaboration, or a conversation, my goal is to inspire others to prioritize themselves, pursue their passions, and never settle for less than they deserve.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to unlearn was that putting myself first is selfish. For years, I believed that prioritizing my own needs meant I was neglecting or letting others down. This mindset shaped so many of my decisions, from overextending myself for family to putting others’ happiness above my own, even when it came at a cost to my well-being.
The turning point came when I started feeling burnt out and disconnected from my own life. I realized I wasn’t showing up as my best self for anyone because I wasn’t showing up for myself. During a pivotal moment of self-reflection, I decided to take time to rediscover what truly mattered to me, which led to my month-long journey of self-discovery in Colorado.
Throughout that experience, I learned that prioritizing myself didn’t mean I cared less about others—it meant I was better equipped to support and connect with them. By setting boundaries and choosing what aligned with my values, I became happier, healthier, and more present.
This shift changed how I approach everything, from relationships to my personal life. It also became the foundation of my content, where I encourage others to rewrite their own narratives and embrace the idea that self-care is not selfish—it’s essential.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
A story that illustrates my resilience comes from a period when I felt completely lost in my life. I was at a crossroads, questioning my purpose and who I truly wanted to be. It was a heavy feeling, one that made it hard to move forward or see a clear path.
Instead of letting that uncertainty consume me, I decided to take a leap of faith and do something completely out of my comfort zone—I packed up and spent a month in Colorado. I had no specific plan, just a desire to reconnect with myself and nature. During that time, I focused on self-reflection, explored new places, and shared my journey on TikTok.
What made this journey so challenging—and ultimately so rewarding—was the constant push to face my fears and trust that I could handle whatever came my way. I was in a new environment, navigating my emotions, and trying to stay true to myself.
Resilience showed up every day in small but meaningful ways: choosing to share my vulnerability with others online, committing to being honest about my struggles, and reminding myself that growth is not linear.
The experience transformed me. Not only did I come out stronger, but I also built a supportive community of people who resonated with my story. That month taught me that resilience isn’t about having all the answers—it’s about continuing to show up for yourself, even when the path is unclear.
