Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Levy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Sarah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s something you believe that most people in your industry (or in general) disagree with?
In short- the success you seek is inside of you. To clarify- I think we were all brought up in a society that plays into the belief that in order to “make it” we must obtain something or reach a level that exists in our outer world. I too bought into this and rode the hamster wheel of trying again and again to do more, obtain more, be more. But as a quick learner I only lasted about 6 years in the corporate world before I knew I had to make a major change. This is not to say that everybody is cut out to be an entrepreneur, however I do truly believe that we are all capable of pursuing the things that we genuinely enjoy while maintaining an abundant life doing so. Think about this for a moment- does corporate America (which was set up long ago by the patriarchy who aims to serve one group of people) make money off of someone who is satisfied? Or people who know their worth and what brings them joy? Who need themselves first, rather than some product, place or thing that temporarily brings them satisfaction. Because no amount of money can amount to this sort of abundance. And I believe, in fact I know, that this is where most people have it backwards. Find the joy, the passion, and follow the creativity first, and then allow the abundance to align with you. As above, so below. As within, so without. It’s a universal law, yet so many are looking past it because they are made to believe to focus on a manmade reality instead.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I simply call myself a creator for many reasons. First being, I tried for many years to put myself into so many boxes to try and make sense of who I was. And I am finally at a place in my journey where I fully understand and accept that I do not fit into any of the boxes that currently exist. And that’s just fine. In fact, I hope this gives somebody else the courage to break out of their limits in reading this. I have found that as long as I am channeling my energy through some sort of creative outlet then I am exactly where I need to be. When I left the corporate world, I dove deep into my inner healing journey, which lead me to helping others through theirs with a spiritual modality called ThetaHealing. This is working with shifting our limiting subconscious beliefs that we typically take on from ages 4-8 that we carry into our adult lives which create our conscious realities. I began to also share my spiritual journey through tarot on TikTok, opening up about my psychic abilities of claircognizance, clairsentience, clairaudience and connecting with the other side. This is something I am still actively doing and enjoy experiencing with others. I then found myself frustrated with the lack of genuinely clean home and body products that were offered. My Mom has been in the health and wellness industry for over 20 years with a biology background, so holistic health has always been very important and relevant in my life. I decided to create a line of candles, body scrubs, essential oils and sprays that were all organic and non-toxic called Pisces Rising. These products were all made from coconut oil and essentials oils and were based in astrology themes, which is a subject that is also very close to my heart. While I am still making products for my own home and my friends and family, I have decided to close this venture in order to allow my energy elsewhere. I am currently the owner and creative director of a design business, which works with interior design as well as content creation called ThirdEye Design. I am actually close to wrapping up a year long new construction build out that I am so excited to finally share with the world. (Details to come.) This project has been taking up most of my time these days, but I am absolutely loving it. Lastly I will say I do have a couple of other creative projects up my sleeve that I’ve been working on and have yet to share with anybody, but please stay tuned… I promise they’re worth the wait!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I have a one word answer for this and I know people hate that because it seems broad, but it’s tried and true. Authenticity. Especially where we are headed as a generation and where we have come from, the world needs our individuality, and it’s paying off for those that are tapping into it. For anyone who is familiar with astrology (or scrolls TikTok often) you’re probably aware that Pluto, the planet that rules transformation and rebirth energy, has moved for the first time in 20 years. This is a generational planet and affects all of us. It was currently in the sign of Capricorn, the “Daddy” of the zodiac who rules old structures, boundaries, governments… think patriarchy energy. However now it is moving into the sign of Aquarius, who is more like the weirdo inventor that nobody understands yet everybody appreciates for their innovations… think Einstein energy. The point of this is to say, it is time to embrace our uniqueness. The time of showing up carbon copied of one another and faking luxurious lives on social media is over. We are realizing that this not only created false narratives for people to try and keep up with, but also more separation between each other in society. Nobody can truly connect on this surface level for long. It is in our DNA to crave intimacy and connection, and we have seen levels of depression and anxiety sky rocket because we are not receiving this. Paired with the back to back worldwide events our generations have experienced, we are ready to rewrite the way we show up in the world. And so I think we are learning it is safe to connect to who we genuinely are and even better to share it with others. Creation from this authentic space will always align with what is meant for you. Universal law baby!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
It’s funny this word resilience comes up because it is one that I have a love/hate relationship with and so I have spent a lot of time processing on. For most, I think when they hear the word resilience they assume somebody who for lack of a better terms had to strap up their boots and fight the good fight. That entire sentence makes me want to hurl because the idea of hustle culture that was created has to die. Now for me, I have decided to redefine the energy behind what resilience means. It is strength but not in the way that hardens you, instead you allow it to soften you. I have experienced my fair share of trauma in this lifetime and for awhile I did wear it as a badge of honor, and so my walls were up and I was guarded. But I no longer choose for that to be my story. I have let my walls down and I have chosen vulnerability instead. So my resilience lies in the ability to constantly pivot, trusting the Divine to always guide me. Knowing that failure doesn’t exist, only redirections and valuable learning lessons. It lies in the way I choose to speak kindly to myself and others, regardless of how I’ve been treated in the past because I understand those were simply projections that had nothing to do with me. It is in the way I show up authentically virtually and in person, knowing that it allows others to do the same for themselves. It’s in the way I choose to witness my thoughts, but don’t allow them to become a part of me, so that I can try and experience every present moment free from any judgement. And it’s in the way I openly allow myself to pursue any and every creative spark that comes to me, without a desired outcome, knowing that they are all God sent and so regardless, they are each special in their own way. Sometimes our mind/ego can trick us into focusing our energy on what we can receive back from the businesses we create, but I challenge each and every one of you to shift that perspective. What if every project we created was simply out of joy and passion for it, and so whatever comes from it was perfect. That could simply be a piece of art that stays in your home or that you gift to a friend, or it could be a multi-million dollar profiting business. Both are aligned and so both are abundant in their own ways. Don’t forget your creation, no matter how big or small it may seem, is sacred. And so is your resilience when it is being used for you, not against you.
