Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Keller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sarah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
My business originally started as the idea of working out with your dog. I found I just didn’t have enough time in the day to get a good workout in for myself, while also meeting my dogs need for exercise. I just wished we could get a good workout in together!
I was working at an office job that allowed me to bring my dog into work with me, but then we got a new CEO who didn’t think it was appropriate to have a dog in the office… so I decided it was time to take the plunge and turn my idea into reality.
Over the past 6 years my business has evolved to include Workout with your Dog Programs, Dog Yoga, and Canine “Only” Conditioning. Now my biggest passion is creating exercise programs specifically for dogs to help improve their posture, movement, quality of life, and ultimately reduce their risk of injuries.
Dogs benefit from targeted exercise that helps to improve their balance, strength, body awareness, and flexibility – just like people!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We all want the best for our pets, ensuring they live happy, pain-free lives for as long as possible. While we understand the importance of good posture, strong muscles, and mobile joints for our own well-being, we often overlook the significance of these factors for our dogs.
When dogs experience poor postural adaptions, movement inefficiencies, muscular imbalances, and joint restrictions (more common than you’d think!), their risk of injury increases while their quality of life decreases. Balancing your own exercise routine with that of your dog can be challenging, especially when it comes to canine fitness done correctly.
Whether you’re looking to safely exercise your puppy, maintain mobility and alleviate pain in your senior pet, enhance performance in your canine athlete, or even engage in fitness and yoga activities with your dog, Sit Stay Squat has the solution.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I’ve found it’s important to make a personal connection with each client (and their dog) and do my best to support them where they are at.
I’m very open with my clients and encourage them to communicate with me regarding their experiences while participating in my services. I always want to know – What could I have done better?
And if I do happen to make a mistake, I do everything in my power to make things right and make sure my client is happy with the outcome.
I also offer certain “freebies” or discounts to my very loyal clients and those who make a special effort in supporting my business.
Do you have any stories of times when you almost missed payroll or any other near death experiences for your business?
My business originally started as strictly in-person classes and services, but when the pandemic hit I knew I had to make a shift.
I started offering Zoom classes for my current clientele (with a ton of learning curves for myself!), and my business ended up expanding online and reaching incredible pet parents all around the world.
My business now primarily operates online, and I feel so grateful to get to help dogs all around the world who may not have in-person access to the kind of services that I offer.
