We recently connected with Sarah Jackson and have shared our conversation below.
Sarah, appreciate you joining us today. Have you ever had an amazing boss? What did you learn from them? Maybe you can share a story that illustrates the kind of boss they were or maybe you can share your thoughts on what you think made them an awesome person to work for?
Here’s the list of Bosses in my life:
1. Lists. I love them.
2. My family. Love them, too!
3. Friends.
4. Family. (Good things sometimes come in Twos.)
5. My belief that God is still Good.
The word BOSS holds power. But that’s not what I want to be known for. The best people in my life have shown me kindness, love, and welcome. No matter what. I’d that that’s a pretty good boss, right?!

Sarah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My parents taught me love because they showed me what a kind family is. I’ve learned everything important from my mom, my dad, my brother, my sister, and my entire Jackson family!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My mom is strong, soft, and full of warmth. My dad is strong, sometimes soft, but always hairy lol!
Together they showed me that things are good and bad, kind and mean, right and wrong.
Without my family, I’d be on a brick road… maybe just not the “Golden brick road” yet.

Any advice for managing a team?
Don’t use the word family when talking about teams (LOL). Call the worker bees working alongside you… whatever you’d like to be called at work, too.
Only trust the people whom you call “friends”.
The word FRIEND holds power, too.
And good friends can make a lasting legacy together.
