Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Grace. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sarah, appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
One of the most important skills you must master to be successful is to be intentional about purpose. I’ve come to believe that success is not determined by an amount of money, followers, or popularity a person can gain. Success is simply fulfilling purpose. Being intentional about finding out who you are, and what you have to offer this world and become a master at fulfilling that purpose. If you are a painter, you are successful when you paint because you are fulfilling your purpose. If you are a writer, you are successful when you right. Getting your amazing work seen by the world is wonderful but you are successfull when you create it, or when you do whatever beautiful thing you are gifted and skilled to do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
It took me years to figure out how to label myself and my work because I did so many things, however, I did eventually discover the easiest way to bring it all under one word. That word is communicator. I communicate through speaking, writing, creating content including digital graphic, web, and video design including television programs.
I communicate my own ideas and what I consider inspirational content through my work and I also do the same for others. From individuals, to small and large scale for profit and non-profit businesses, authors, clergy, musical artists, and more, I help a diversity of clientele find and communicate their personal, organizational businesses and brands.
I have also found that many of my clients face challenges in taking their ideas and communicating them through the various forms of media I create with and its my joy to help them strategize and package those concepts and products in a way that brings their visions to life.

What do you find most rewarding about being creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is seeing the joy on my clients faces when they are holding that book I designed the cover for, or sharing that flyer I created on social media, and the list goes on.
See what was once an idea based on a conversation is a great joy.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The greatest lesson I had to unlearn was to realize everyone’s journey is different. You can learn from others journey’s but you must take your own path to finding your best life and career. You can’t take another persons path to your destination because the destination is unique for all of us.
I learned this lesson when I found myself following trends and methods that others used until I realized they boxed me in. My personal signature was hiding underneath the surface and kept captive by fear of getting outside of what seemed like a safe zone.
The more I allowed myself to work outside of my comfort zone, I saw myself starting to shine brighter and draw people who were looking for something unique and different from what everyone else was offering.
