Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Sarah Glink. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Sarah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
We’ve been mission driven even before we opened our doors for service, “we are determined to be welcoming, positive, and considerate…” These ideas have given direction and helped shape our business, here are just a handful of examples:
-using our space to promote local artists, clubs, small businesses and musicians.
-leaning into sustainability practices in our use of compostable goods and recycling.
-hosting grief support group, game nights, and community events.
Our goal has been to create a place that felt like a second home and a shared space for our community and guests. The team of baristas at Wall Street have embraced this idea and the support from our community has been pleasantly overwhelming.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
My favorite and the greatest response to our business comes in the way we now celebrate our anniversary. It comes from how we chose celebrate our grand opening by giving away a year’s supply of coffee. The number of people who attended our grand opening was staggering as we had advertised on social media and in local advertisements that we would be giving our prizes including a year’s supply of coffee. The excitement has continued as it’s now our annual tradition, we always see new faces when we announce our anniversary giveaways. Our team grabs this opportunity and uses it to win repeat customers.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
I never ask someone to do something I’m not willing to do myself. Obviously it’s not practical to put yourself in that position at all times with the added responsibilities of management, but, if you want a team mentality, you have to be part of that team, leading by example.
