We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sarah Edwards. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sarah below.
Alright, Sarah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the toughest parts of scaling a business is maintaining quality as you grow. How have you managed to maintain quality? Any stories or advice?
I’ve always lived by the saying “Quality over Quantity”. It truly speaks for itself and is something I have always strived for within my life and business. I found myself over the years becoming a perfectionist with my own work and wanting to deliver the best product to each and every client. Although, there’s no such thing as being “perfect” but there is such thing as bringing true quality to the table. The older I get and as times change, I see that “quality” in customer service continues to dwindle unfortunately.
Once you’ve established the quality essence within your business, the maintenance part comes quite easily in my opinion.

Sarah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I specialize in corporate and lifestyle video production, as well as an FAA-certified drone pilot.
I create videos to help promote companies in North Carolina, Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland areas. I work with a variety of businesses from automotive, medical, political, fashion, contractors, real estate, colleges, and many more.
I make the process easy for my clients. Whether it’s a deadline to meet, or needing some visionary direction, I’ll work with clients at every step to develop clear goals and get the job done.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
It started as something I was passionate about, a hobby at the time. Beginning with photography, and then progressed into videography pretty quickly after that. Youtube became my school and learned from other creators around the world. Not too long after this, I took an entrepreneurial course and began planning out the actual logistics of starting a business. When I was 20 years old, I dove into starting my company, VISUAL DESIGN PRO and haven’t looked back since. It’s been a wonderful journey! I believe if you’re truly passionate about something, and if there’s a way to create it into a business, make it happen.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I think it is very important to stay in touch with past, present, and future clients. People need to be reminded of your service. But not only because you want their business, you ultimately want to build a long-term relationship with them. That said, I think it’s important to stay in touch throughout the year with your clients. Whether that’s sending a Christmas card, congratulating them on a life accomplishment, or even just a friendly check-in to see how they’re doing.
At the end of the day, treat people the way you want to be treated.
