We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sarah Crosby. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sarah below.
Sarah , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you manage your own social media?
I manage my own. I am too much a perfectionist to let the control go at this point. So far I feel like it has worked. As long as you know your target audience and stick to speaking to that group i believe you will have success.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am Hair By Sarah Croz. I am a Hair Stylist in the Woodlands area. I own a suite, which mean I have my own salon space just for me. I provide low maintenance hair coloring options for my guests so that their hair can look better for longer. it is my goal to make sure that my clients leave feeling RELAXED, RECHARGED and BEAUTIFUL. All of my decisions revolve around those three things being the main goal. I want it to feel like a chill girl date meets mini vacation.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Put yourself out there, everywhere. Anywhere you think your perfect client would be and put yourself in front of them. Social media has made this much easier. Instead of passing out business cards at the mall you can find where they are hanging out on social media and put your name out there. Offer your services. And do not just do it once. Do it often, everyday if you can until you fee like your clientele is close to where you want. Even then, don’t stop, just take your foot off the gas a bit.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Instagram and Google.
Instagram is an artist’s life time portfolio. No matter where a person hears about you; if you are an artist or in my case a hair stylist, they will go to instagram to see if they like your brand or your work.
Google is the place everyone goes when they want information. “I want my hair done.” I want my name to pop up on the search. And I want the photos are there to look good and the referrals to speak to the reader. Studies have shown that reviews from strangers have a bigger influence on decisions than from people you know. Making sure my name is out there, has been great to helping new guests find me.
