We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sara Rogers a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Sara, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Taking risks is often the spark that ignites our greatest adventures. For me, that leap of faith came when I made the bold decision to move to South Florida, alone, just two days before my 25th birthday. It was a decision driven by intuition and a sense of destiny. Having felt a deep connection to the region since childhood, I knew in my heart that South Florida was where I was meant to be. Despite the uncertainties that typically accompany such a move, I embraced the opportunity with open arms. Looking back, it was undeniably one of the most pivotal moments of my life. That risk led me to a place of growth, opportunity, and fulfillment beyond what I could have imagined. It’s a testament to the power of following your instincts and daring to chase your dreams, no matter how daunting they may seem at the outset.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Absolutely! My name is Sara Rogers, and I’m deeply zealous about the art of acting. With decades of experience in the industry, I’ve honed my craft and developed a profound understanding of what it takes to succeed in the ever evolving industry. My journey into this field began in college, when I was deciding on a major. I walked into the theatre to hear an introduction to theatre and I knew right then and there, I was home. Throughout my studies I found that I had a love for storytelling and the desire to bring characters to life on stage and screen. I founded www.adultactingcoach.com Sara Rogers Inc, with the mission of providing aspiring actors with the tools, training, and support they need to thrive in the competitive world of entertainment. From my earliest days as a performer to my current role as a nationally recognized acting coach, I’ve always been dedicated to helping others unlock their full potential.

Whether you’re a seasoned actor looking to refine your skills or a newcomer hoping to break into the industry, we have something for everyone. Our classes cover a variety of disciplines, including film, theatre, and improvisation, and we also offer specialized training in areas like public speaking and basic and advanced camera work.
One of the key problems we solve for our clients is building confidence and versatility as performers. Acting can be an incredibly rewarding but challenging profession, and many aspiring actors struggle with self-doubt and fear of rejection. Through personalized coaching and supportive guidance, we help our clients overcome these obstacles and develop the resilience they need to succeed.
What sets us apart from others in the industry is our commitment to creating a safe, secure, and inclusive learning environment. We believe that every individual has a unique voice and perspective to bring to their work, and we strive to nurture and celebrate that diversity in our classes and private sessions. Our approach is collaborative and supportive, fostering a sense of community among our students and empowering them to take risks and explore their creativity.
I’m incredibly proud of the success stories that have emerged from our students over the years. Seeing our clients land roles in film, television, and theatre productions brings me immense joy and fulfillment. But more than that, I’m proud of the relationships we’ve built and the impact we’ve had on the lives of our students. Acting is about so much more than just memorizing lines and hitting your marks—it’s about connecting with others, expressing yourself authentically, and embracing the journey of self-discovery.
In closing, what I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know about www.adultactingcoach.com/ Sara Rogers Inc is that we do our best to support and empower them every step of the way. Is there mission driving your creative journey?
One of the core missions driving my creative journey is to assist both beginner and seasoned students in their artistic pursuits. Central to this mission is instilling in students the importance of punctuality and timeliness. Throughout my career in theatre, film, and television, I’ve learned firsthand the critical role that timing plays in the success of any production. In the theatre world, being on time isn’t just a suggestion—it’s a fundamental requirement. The stage demands precision, and missing cues or entrances can have significant consequences for the entire cast and crew. This early lesson in the importance of timing has stayed with me throughout my journey.
As I transitioned into film and television, I quickly realized that the same principles applied, albeit with some nuances. Call times aren’t merely suggestions; they’re opportunities for preparation and readiness. Arriving well in advance of the scheduled start time allows for proper rehearsal, makeup, and any unforeseen adjustments that may be necessary before the cameras start rolling.
But beyond the world of entertainment, the value of punctuality extends into every aspect of life. Whether it’s meeting deadlines at work, showing up promptly for appointments, or honoring commitments to friends and family, being on time is a reflection of integrity and respect for others’ time.
By emphasizing the importance of timeliness in my teaching, I aim to instill in my students not only the skills they need to succeed in their artistic endeavors but also the habits and values that will serve them well in all aspects of their lives. Being a timely person isn’t just about showing up on time—it’s about demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a respect for the collaborative process.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is multifaceted, encompassing both personal fulfillment and the joy of contributing to others’ journeys. For me, this reward comes in two, perhaps even three, distinct layers. First and foremost, there’s the thrill of the creative process itself. As an artist, I relish the opportunity to audition for and book roles in print work, film, or television. Each audition is a chance to breathe life into a character, to connect with a story, and to express myself in a unique and meaningful way. And when I have the privilege of landing a role, the sense of accomplishment and validation is unparalleled.
But beyond my own artistic endeavors, there’s a deeper satisfaction that comes from seeing my students succeed. Knowing that I’ve played a role in their growth and development as artists—and perhaps even as individuals—is incredibly fulfilling. Whether they’re booking roles in theatre, or film and television or simply gaining confidence and self-expression through their studies, witnessing their progress brings me immense joy.
In essence, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is twofold: it’s about finding fulfillment in my own artistic journey while also making a positive impact on the journeys of others. It’s a privilege to create, to inspire, and to be a part of the transformative power of art—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
